"Jin hyung came back. He's in the room, waiting for me."
Yoongi stood at the spot where the smell of Taehyung's blood was the thickest, and let out a sigh.
He had wanted to meet up with Jin hyung before he went back inside.
There were so many questions running through his head, about Jin, and about Taehyung, and about what exactly had happened between the two of them?
Kim Taehyung, had made a run for it the minute Yoongi was distracted, and when he realized it, Taehyung was already climbing into his getaway car.
If the beta wanted to, he could easily catch up to Taehyung, and pull him back for questioning.
But he did no such thing.
The need to escape, to run as far away as possible from Yoongi, and from Jungkook, he understood those feelings.
From the cnversation he had heard before, Yoongi could guess Taehyung's plans. The omega would want to cherish what little time he had left, before the contract marriage date. He would want to spend the coming days with his friends and family, instead of being caught up with Yoongi, and having the beta question him on his meeting with Jin.
Jimin? That was his friend's name...right? Yoongi felt a tinge of guilt towards this stranger.
How would he react when he found out Taehyung had lied to him, and that he had already signed the contract? Would his friend get furious? Would he do something stupid and try to get Taehyung out of the contract marriage?
A part of Yoongi was curious to know, but the more rational side of his brain, thought otherwise.
It was in their best interest if Yoongi knew as little about Taehyung's previous life as possible.
Yoongi didn't want to dig further into his family, then was needed.
As the beta of Jungkook's pack, he was bound by duty and loyalty, to share everything that he knew about Taehyung, if his leader asked him to. He couldn't lie to Jungkook, if he was cross-questioned in the future.
The less he knew, the better it would be for Taehyung and his friend.
As for Jin hyung-
Yoongi looked down at his lit up screen, and typed in a reply to Jungkook's message.
"Do you want me there?"
The kid was still not prepared to face his Jin hyung, Yoongi had seen as much.
Still, right now, the grieving omega needed Jungkook more then ever. Both of them needed to cross this abyss of grief before them, together.
Being besides Jin, being there for Jin as his emotional support, was the first step towards healing and recovering from their loss.
Just as he was about to make his way back, his phone lit up with a notification for new text message.
"No."
Jungkook's reply was just that one word, and it brought a smile on Yoongi's face.
The kid had finally made up his mind to face his Jin hyung, on his own.
Yoongi's heart felt a bit lighter, the constant worry he carried inside himself, for Jungkook and for Jin, lessened a little. This was a good sign. This-
