chapter 15

Lyles PoV

I was beyond furious. It must've been I between classes I was going through hallways looking for him "Where's Kade!" I had attracted quite a group now which made sense considering the fact that I was yelling a football players name.

"Who are you and why are you looking for me" I assumed it was him because he had answered my question. He had come from a classroom on the right and a few classrooms up I saw Julia come out on the left. I felt bad that she was going to have to see this but the rage had taken over by now. I charged towards Kade who seemed completely unprepared and unaware, and started punching.

Time jump back- the morning after Erik took Julia home from the party
Julia's PoV

"Juls?" I heard a desperate voice same my name and- ouch my head hurt. "Juls?" the voice again and this time I opened my eyes. Erik had been saying my name and I was lying on his chest, I saw an angry Lyle above me but his face softened when I opened my eyes.

"Hey princess" his eyes were red as if he'd been crying. I sat up to hug him but immediately lied back down and put a hand on my head cause man was it killing me. I had barely any memory of the party which might've been for the best, all I remembered was Eriks cologne and someone else... Kade... it came rushing back in and I started crying. "Juls it's okay" Lyle said leaning down

"LYLE!" it was Mr. Menendez

"Shit" he said "you got her?" he said directed towards Erik who nodded his head and put his arm around me protectively as Lyle ran out of the room.

"It's okay Juls. I was there he couldn't hurt you" I continued crying into Eriks chest mascara from the night before running down my face. He hugged me tighter with each cry. Even if I didn't feel the same way about Erik as a did Lyle, I loved Erik. It felt nice being close with him again even in the circumstances, I had missed hanging out with him. I knew I was safe in his arms as I slowly drifted back to sleep.

When you woke up again Erik was gone, you checked your phone

5:56 am

No point going back to bed, and you had school in a few hours so might as well set your outfit up. You took out grey sweats and a cropped shirt, too tired to make a serious effort. You headed down to the kitchen and poured yourself a bowl of cereal while scrolling through your phone, but noticed Erik sleeping soundly on the couch. You walked over and flicked in between his eyes.

"Wake up loser"he groaned and moved the hand away from his face "we have school you know" he stretched his arms above his head

"You'll never take me alive" you rolled your eyes and laughed "also can I copy your math homework?"

"Frankly i'm offended" you said to him heading back to your bowl of cereal " you assumed that I did it" and then shook your head. He got up and was heading towards the stairs when you interrupted him "you- you didn't tell Lyle what happened did you?" he rubbed his eyes still half asleep.

"Of course I did" you gave him a look "What? It's not like he'll do anything" your eyebrows lifted

"I hope so"

"and Erik and Julia. Next time try to complete atleast half the homework given this week" you rolled your eyes. Of course it would've been Mr. Wilson who would call you and out. You turned across the room to where Erik was and saw him mouth "YeA jUliA" you gave him a middle finger, with no shame. Erik walked over to your desk since class was over.

"God could you take any longer" he said. There was some commotion in the hallway but you were in no hurry. You left the classroom just in time to see Lyle punch Kade straight in the face. I was in absolute awe what in the- what did I just see!? You saw Eriks bad attempt to hide a laugh next to you, which he received an elbow for

Lyles PoV

I punched Kade with all my force knocking him to the ground. I looked up and saw Julia's face, shocked and Erik beside her, laughing. A teacher at the end of the hallway started running towards my fight and that's when it hit me, I was no longer a student here... so I probably shouldn't be here... yeah that was my cue to leave. I looked back to Juls and Erik

"Bye Juls!" I said waving at her and smiling, as I started sprinting down the hallway towards the exit. I guess the morning runs did come in handy, I thought as I ran out the door and to the car that I had parked a few miles away to guarantee my escape. I laughed thinking about how Julia probably reacted, but definitely worth it.

Julia's PoV

"Bye Juls!" Lyle gave me a goofy grin as I stood there still in awe, my jaw probably on the ground by now, and all eyes turned to me. Erik had totally lost in and was laughing uncontrollably, lightly elbowing me and wiping tears away from his eyes.

"B-Bye Juls" he could barely stifle out in between his laughs. I was still shocked, all I could do was walk to my next class. I saw people watching as behind me a teacher ran up to Kade

"Let's get you to the nurse" I put my hand over my mouth trying to conceal my laugh as I walked to my next class, but I wasn't working very well.

"So who was that and why was he not at the party" May asked in my next class

"It's no one" I said blushing

"Well no one is extremely hot and just punched a football player for you" May was giving me wide eyes, probably as in as much disbelief as I was. But yes, no one was extremely hot, I thought smiling
