The last few classes had went by in a blur. Talking to Jade was exciting, but relaxing at the same time. Sometimes I wish in some moments I can just pause and stare at her. She can make these faces that are just so funny and cute at the same time. It seems she is always photo ready. Turns out she had rid the bus here this morning, so I told her I would drive her home. As she got in the car she smiled at me. I knew exactly what she was thinking. She then blasted the music and started singing as I rolled down the windows. We both started singing to every song that came on. We had so much fun I almost missed the turn to enter her neighborhood. When I turned she pointed to this house on the right. I stopped and look at her in awe. "That's...That's your house?!"

She looked at me as if I had never seen a house before. "Yeah...this is my house. My mom is a lawyer and my dad is a neurosurgeon." ,she said. The house was huge. It had to be at least 3 stories. It also had a pool, garden, and full basketball court. A full basketball court...I miss playing basketball. After I came out, I quit. My coach was very disappointed in me, but I just lost it. Also, I went to a mental hospital over the summer, so I didn't have time for basketball camps. I really do miss it.... "Hello?! Roland?! What are you thinking about?" ,Jade said looking at me. I looked and her and said, "Oh, it was nothing." she smirked and said, "Now you have to tell me. You ignored me for like a whole minute straight. What were you thinking about?"

I sighed and said, "I saw your full basketball court and I was thinking about how much I miss playing. I used to play before I came out then after I quit the team. I mean it was perfect timing. I went into the hospital over the summer, so there was no time for camp." The girl looked at me like she was processing me. I looked out the window. If she gave me a petty look, I know I would lash out and then she would leave. She didn't say anything and I was glad she didn't. She knew were and when to stop talking. We both thought for a few minutes then she said, "Well, I'll see you tomorrow! Make sure to text me tonight if you want. Bye!" She then smiled and left my car.

I sat in her driveway for a few minutes. I was just staring straight ahead. I felt so weird. I made a friend in just 7 hours and she invited me to her house tomorrow. Now, all I could think of when I drove home and for the rest of the day was tomorrow.
