Chapter 10

I just froze. I needed to tell her, but my body and voice wouldn't do anything. She looked concerned and patted me on the back. She knew not to push me. For the short time that I've known her she has always been able to pick up those types of hints. I didn't know what to say, but some how these words squeaked out, "I need to tell you. I just- it's really hard to tell you or just regular people about it. I'm sorry. Maybe in the car I will feel more comfortable." She looked at me and said, "Roland, I never want you to feel pressure to tell me about anything you don't want to tell me. It's your choice. I don't want to force you." Jade was too sweet. Everything about her was sweet. I want her all to myself. I want to protect her and make her happy. I know I sound possessive, but she needs someone. I want that someone to be me. 

She got the books that she wanted and the ones that we needed for English. I was fascinated watching her shop. She would take her time, but was also fast. Her mind just clicked so fast with everything around her. It was crazy to watch her from a distance. We left the mall about 12:30 and I could hear Jade's stomach growling. I started laughing and she just stared. "What?!" ,she said looking confused. Once I stopped laughing, I said, "I can hear your stomach growling. What do you want for lunch?" She started blushing. I feel like not a lot of people has gave her the opportunity to pick something before. Her face went into an excited grin and she said, "Can we go to Island Burger pleaseeeeeee!" she begged. That was the cutest thing I have seen and my heart melted. I nodded and opened her door for her. 

We were driving there and she was enjoying the breeze in her hair. I looked over at her. She looked so beautiful. This girl could pass as a goddess. I kept wondering if she had made up her mind on her sexuality. I know its selfish, but I want her. I want to be her protection and the person she wants when she is cold. I want to be with her so bad. Anyone would want to be with this girl. I could feel the excitement radiating from her body. I'm guessing she has never been to Island Burger before. It is a very well known restaurant in our area. People come from all over just to get their food. One of my favorite parts about it is all the scenery you pass on the way there. Seeing Jade's face in awe and her letting out cute tiny gasps made me so happy. Her being beside me in my car makes me too happy to even explain. 

We had finally arrived, when Jade dashed out the car and waited in line. I laughed as a watched her jump up and down. She looked so cute. All of a sudden, my phone buzzed. She texted me and asked what I wanted, since she left and didn't ask. I just got the original. An island burger, fries, and a milkshake. When she made it up to the front of the line she was practically shaking as she ordered. When she got the food she ran to the car so fast, I was afraid she would spill it. Once, she opened the door and climbed inside, she started digging in. I laughed and took my food and started eating. She looked like a little girl. She finished about 2 minutes before me. I couldn't help, but smile. "Did you like it?" ,I asked. She looked at me like I was crazy and shouted, "ARE YOU CRAZY?! I LOVED IT!!!". I smiled and started driving. We went back to her house. Once we got inside, she asked, "Do you wanna go outside and shoot some baskets?"
