Her

Chapter 8

I woke up to the sound of my alarm nagging. I rolled over and sighed. I didn't want to get up, but I did want to see Jade. I stayed in bed for a few more minutes thinking about how I'm gonna start my day. I got up and started to brush my teeth. Then, I went downstairs and made a bowl of cereal. My thoughts were racing. What should I wear today? That was the question I asked myself every day, but today it was different. I want to impress Jade. I went back upstairs and started digging through my closet. I pulled together probably the most dope fit I have ever created. I have a black beanie, a black button up with a white tank underneath, some ripped black jeans, and some AirForce Ones. I then put my rings on and left the house. 

I got in my car and started driving to her house. My stomach instantly got butterflies as I thought of her. She lived close by, so it didn't take me long to pull into her huge driveway. I texted her and told her I was outside waiting for her. A few minutes later, she came skipping outside. She seemed like she was always happy. I watched her get inside. She was wearing a cute outfit, a white crop top, ripped jeans, and some AirForces like mine. When she got in the car, all I could smell was vanilla. Her perfume was strong, but not over powerful. My car now smelled amazing. I look at her and said, "Alright, where to?"

She had a huge smile on her face and said, "We should stop at the mall. I need some jean advice, you have style, so I want your opinion. Also, we need to go to that book store. We need books for English and I want to see some new releases. Is that okay with you?". I was shocked that she wanted to know if I wanted to do it or not. I nodded my head and started driving. We did our usual roll down the windows and blare music. Jade actually could sing very well, considering the fact she was goofing off.

She has this thing about her. Whenever she is around people, she can instantly make you smile. Just from being around her this morning I feel so much happier than usual. Every song from our childhoods came onto the radio. I felt younger and happier than I had in a long time. I felt free, like a burden has been lifted off of me. I kept singing and singing till I had this weird feeling. I look over and Jade is staring at me. She turned away fast and started blushing. I focused back on the road smiling. We finally had made it to the mall. I found a parking space near the front and got out of the car. We both walked inside together and then I saw him...
