Y/n' POV

"CAW!! CAW!! CAW!!" I woke up to the caws of my kusagai crow. "Y/N!! Y/N!! WAKE UP!!! THERE IS A DEMON IN THE SOUTH TERRAIN KILLING CHILDREN!!! CAW!!! CAW!!!"

I got up at a steady pace and gathered my belongings.

I put on my uniform and draped my usual h/d haori over it. I pulled out two small portions of my hair and plaited them to the back of my head, tied it and decorated it with my favourite flower pin. It was simple, but had my two favourite colours. And giyu had bought it for me...

(A/n: ofc y'all can have more than two colours but, eh-)

"Very well, c/n. I'll get there as soon as possible."

2rd POV

"Ah, y/n-chan?!? Are you already going on a mission?!?" Shinobu asked.

You nodded and felt the slight disappointment in her aura. Not knowing what to do, you reached up to her head and gave her a few soft pats.

"I won't be gone for long...." She looked taken aback for a bit, but soon eased a little.

She had really been looking forward to spending time with her closest friend, but the parting pat was good enough....for now....

"Hm, alright then, that's a promise!" You smiled a little, noting how she'd put faith in you.

"...are you ready, l/n?" Giyu called as he approached you and Shinobu.

Shinobu visibly tensed, a feeling of rivalry bubbling inside of her.

"Hello, giyu." She greeted, giving him one of the most fake smiles...ever... "Remember, no one likes you!" She chirped happily.

You pulled on her haori lightly.

"...that's not true...I like him..." The two taller hashira looked a little shocked, not expecting you to announce such a thing.

Shinobu glared at giyu, noticing how his ears were already red.

"Alright then, well, you two better get going!" She shoved you out the gate and let giyu pass.

But of course, not before she whispered, "back off, she's mine..."

A/n: yes guys, there will be some gayness on here!!! There are many Shinobu simps, alr- I for one am :D anywaysz back to the story!!!

Giyu and I walked through the dense forest. The path had disappeared all together and the sun was already setting.

"...say, giyu, what did Shinobu say to you?" He stayed quiet for a moment, before mumbling a few things.

"It was nothing..."

"I see..." I paused, thinking of what to say. "Hm, would you like to go out after the mission?"
