The smaller girl bounced from rock to boulder as the golden haired boy cheered for her to chase after him. It was mid-summer, and the duo had decided to go swimming.

“Hurry up, [Y/n]! The stream will dry up by the time you arrive! ”

Said girl frowned as her friend laughed at his own joke.

“The only thing drying up is you, wrinkly toes! ”

The boy grinned after hearing her horrible insult. It was true though, his toes had begun wrinkling from excessively being underwater. Perhaps walking in the stream all the way wasn't such a good idea...

Finally, the [h/c]-nette/[h/c] haired girl settled her heavy sack down. The two had decided to camp out for the night; Solarius had already reassured her there would be no pesky mosquitoes.

Haah, help me out a little, won’t you? We both planned this out... ”

The blonde nodded as he crossed the car stream, carrying two fish; one smaller than the other.
Their silver scales gleamed in the sunlight as their mouths struggled for oxygen.

[Y/n] giggled at her best friend's continuous wriggles. It wasn't really that stuffy, the only thing they shared was one ragged blanket.

The [h/c] haired girl decided to take matters into her own hands. She faced him and snuggled in closer, clutching his hand in her's.

“Haha, you’ll pull this tent down if you keep shuffling around like that. ”

Solarius flushed, shock and embarrassment taking over him as he attempted to calm down his body's fist sized heart. [Y/n] grinned proudly when he stopped, not noticing how stiff the boy had become.

She was only eight after all...

“Good night, Solarius. ” She muttered as her tired eyes closed.

Said boy gulped down the lump that had clotted up his throat, letting a hoarse “G-good night.. ” out.
Fortunately, the girl had already fallen asleep.

He lay quietly, listening to the sound of her soft breaths. His hand squeezed her’s for a moment, before he let out a breath he hadn't realised he’d been holding.

He stared at the fabric roof of the tent — which he had made with magic — almost able to see the stars, if not, faint glows.

Smiling, he let fatigue take over him after muttering a quiet:
