3rd POV

"Killua, do you think Y/n's okay? It's already been days. "

The ex-assassin gave a curt shake of the head. He was angry, to say the least.

Although he felt affectionate towards her, he couldn't help but feel like she was out of his league. He already knew he wasn't a 'first priority'.

He pushed down his urge to search for Y/n, instead, focusing on the small exam the two friends would have to take.

"I'm sure she's fine, Gon. She can protect herself... "

Killua didn't bother to look at his best friend's distressed face, in fear of falling apart himself.

'Where are you, Y/n...?'

Kurapika clutched his hand. He had decided to continue working as a body guard, though he still kept in touch with his friends.

He was never that close to Y/n. Perhaps his path of revenge had pushed her away from him. He wondered where the girl was now.

"Kurapika, let's go. " Melody, a kind and short woman with buck teeth that had worked with him, called. It was a mouthful of a journey, and now he was ready to set aside revenge.

Almost.

1st POV

'It's cold... Where am I? It's so dark I can barely see... '

My breath was ragged as I adjusted my eyes to the dark void. Where on earth was I?

... Was I even on earth?

".. H-haruto? Where am I? " My voice echoed through the area, but there was nothing.
"Is anyone there? "

I decided to search. It was a stupid idea, but what if I found something that could warm me up?

As I walk across the glass like ground, it became... Watery.

My feet started to stir a liquid form, startling me. I tried to use nen to put up my protective barrier, but I couldn't.

Did this place erase my powers?

"Y/n... Y/n... "

I swiveled around to the direction of the voice. Who was it?

"Save us. "

"W-wh—" I covered my mouth, embarrassed that my voice was so hoarse and croaky.

"You're awake. "

A gleaming light appeared behind me. I squinted my eyes and covered my face to take a look at the new arrival. Soon enough, the light faded into specks of dust.

"It's been a long time, Y/n L/n."

I gave a weak smile.

"It has indeed, Adair. Why such formalities though? "

He hummed a soft tune to himself as he approached me. My standing figure let him.
