There was a rumble in the floor that the Marauders and Lily stood on. Peter whimpered and fell to the floor while Remus grabbed another case to hold on to. There was a swirl of what looked like white smoke and the floor beneath them disappeared, causing them to fall to a never-ending surface. The Time-Turner rotated slowly in the middle of the group, almost as though directing the white smoke in a direction that created a tornado which the group where in. Lily was screaming while James and the rest of the Marauders cried out in fright. Soon enough, they hit a hard surface and the smoke disappeared, along with the Time-Turner. The 5 of them lay on the ground, both impacted by the drop and scared of what would happen if they stood up.
"Is it over?" Sirius asked, evidently scared.
Remus was the first to get up, clearing the dust off his front before the rest followed. He glanced at where the Time-Turner was and to his horror, he saw that it was no longer there. He did a full 360 turn as James and Sirius stood up, confused and shaken. Peter stayed on the ground whimpering. Remus realized they were still in the trophy room, but still uncertain, he checked one of the trophy labels.
"What happened?" James asked. "What did you do?"
"Me?" Lily looked shocked at James sudden tone of accusation. "How can you accuse me when you-"
"No!"
Everyone turned to Remus who was staring at the House Cup with his hands on his head.
"What is it?" Sirius asked. "What happened?"
Remus turned around to face the others with an expression that said nothing but shock. He looked at James, who was just as confused as everyone else in the room. He then turned towards Lily.
"What is it Remus?" James asked.
"I checked the House Cup," he said, breathing heavily. "To see what was the latest year that it had been won."
"And?"
Still staring at Lily, he said, "It said 1995."
Sirius gasped as James stepped forward, "Do you mean to tell me we travelled forward in time another 20 years?"
Not saying anything, Remus turned to James and nodded. Sirius slapped his forehead and Peter gave another large whimper from the ground. Lily did nothing but stare at the ground, breathing almost as heavily as Remus. James went to the trophy case to check the same way that Remus did. After a few seconds, he swore loudly.
"What do we do?" Sirius asked uncertainly.
"We have to go to Dumbledore!" James replied. "Its the only thing we can do now."
"What if he isn't Headmaster anymore?" Lily asked.
"Well its worth a try. Which way to his office? Get up Wormtail!"
Together, the 5 stalked off towards the Headmaster's office, Remus leading the way. Luckily, they didn't run into any current students because that would have turned into a disaster. Once they reached the large gargoyle statue, Remus cursed softly that they didn't know the current password.
"What could it be?" James questioned.
"Seeing as we don't know who the Headmaster is, we won't be able to figure that out anytime soon," Remus replied, feeling defeated.
Suddenly, the gargoyle started to move, opening up so that a woman could leave the room. The lady was muttering to herself, apparently annoyed, "The Seer has foreseen... Cannot deny what lies in the future..."
The 5 of them looked at each other darkly before moving forward through the open doorway before the statue moved again. They went up the stairs until they were met by a door. Coughing slightly, Remus knocked loudly until a voice came from inside, "Enter."
