The day before the next Quidditch match appeared to be gloomy, since it was raining non-stop the entire day. But the next morning, it was clear as it could ever be. Perfect conditions to play. And it seemed that it might just turn out good for Gryffindor. They were coming last in the House Cup and desperately needed a win in this match to have any chance of winning the Quidditch Cup. The house spirit couldn't be any better.

"How are you all feeling?" Hermione asked the players.

Angelina had managed to recruit new players to replace Harry and the twins. James had managed to nick the spot of Seeker from Ginny, after out-flying her at the tryouts. But since she was the second-best flyer by far as compared to the rest who tried out, she was asked to play Beater.

"We are fine," Ginny said, eating an apple. "At least I am."

"I'm brilliant," James replied. "Can't wait."

Ravenclaw were a strong side and they narrowly beat Slytherin. But Gryffindor had minimal time for practice. They only just got a new Seeker and Beaters two weeks prior, and Angelina had a panic attack the day before. Gryffindor were on the ropes, but the support was definitely there. Even Harry, who had been demoralized from getting a ban, was trying to push Ron to perform his best.

"You'll do great," Hermione said as Ginny clapped his back.

Once James, Ron and Ginny left, Fred and George appeared and went over to Harry and the others.

"We watched their training yesterday," Fred said quietly as Angelina left as well.

"And?"

George shook his head, "They are a shambles without us. Sure Dan is pretty good but Harry, I reckon you were better. Plus that other Beater, Peakes? Yeah he nearly hit Alicia in the head with his own bat. They are screwed. That's why Angelina had her panic attack."

"And Ron?" Hermione asked.

Fred and George looked at each other gloomily, "You know..."

Harry sighed, "Its just his-"

"-Nerves," Hermione finished. "We know Harry."

They soon filed out into the stadium, ready for the match. As soon as James was up on his broom and flying, Sirius smiled broadly.

"I've forgotten how good he was on his broom," he said.

"Was?" Lily repeated. "Is he not anymore?"

"Well...We'll see after this."

The match started and in less than 10 seconds, the Ravenclaw captain, Davies, had scored. Ron had dived the complete wrong way and almost fallen off his broom. Angelina could be heard from the stands shouting at him. Ron shook his head and focused on the match again. Quickly, Gryffindor bounced back when Angelina scored. Ginny had hit a Bludger and knocked off her defender for her to score. Fred and George were cheering her on.

"Go on Ginny!" George clapped.

"When did she become so good?" Fred wondered, watching her hit another Bludger at Davies.

"She has been stealing your brooms in turn and practicing flying since she was 6," Hermione said before she started cheering again.

Fred and George stood there, shocked for a moment, before continuing with their cheers, pushing Angelina on for her to score another one. Meanwhile James soared the heights of the game, looking for the Snitch. He had successfully dodged a Bludger and did an impressive swirl in doing so. Then, when it looked like the Ravenclaw Seeker had seen the Snitch, he sped up to him and overtaken him, only to realize it wasn't there.
