Chapter | 12

after the mini funeral, I made my way to the car that stefan and I drove up in- he was still inside talking to elijah about god knows what and I felt boredom creeping in again. lately I had been bored a lot, not just because of the lack of activities but because the only two people I had been talking to was damon and stefan.

now don't get me wrong, I love them but I feel like if I don't speak to somebody else soon I might go crazy which I think is completely understandable. the problem is that it's not like there's an easy way to make friends or anything especially in mystic falls where everybody has their cliques.

the only solution I could think of was going to the mikaelson manor and asking rebekah if she wanted to go somewhere or other with me but that made me sound desperate. on second thought, I don't care, I'm lonely.

I didn't bother taking the car, instead just walking for a few minutes and arriving at their door in no time. at the doorstep, it didn't look particularly inviting or anything but I was surprised their wasn't a sign that said 'beware of the hybrid' or something because I would've totally made a sign like that if I was living with niklaus.

raising my hand towards the door, I knocked a couple of times and waited before the door was opened and a face I hadn't seen in a long time appeared in the doorway.

"oh god" I muttered accidentally and he grinned widely when I stepped back.

"no darling, not quite" he bopped my nose and I snapped out of it.

"I forgot you existed" I blurted out before covering my mouth "you know what, I'm not that desperate anymore"

"desperate for what?" he asked and leant against the door frame with a smirk and a hand over his chest "are you realising that after all this time apart you've fallen in love with me?"

I snorted before full on laughing and clutching my stomach as he joined in, grabbing my arm and pulling me into the house. he didn't do it forcefully and I went along with him.

"so what is it you actually need?" he asked and I shrugged and looked around their house.

"I wanted to talk to rebekah" he stopped and wrinkled his nose.

"she's in her room with a boy" I smiled widely and kol groaned "don't encourage her"

"holy shit this is so exciting, who is it?" my eyes gleamed happily and he narrowed his eyes.

"well...she actually found marcel but turns out he really wasn't her mate. it was fun to watch her rip out his heart" he chuckled and I made a face at him "ugh it's some kid named jeremy"

"jeremy gilbert?! can I see her? can I go to her room?"

"you're so weird" he shook his head "first door on the right"

"awesome thanks!" I kissed him on the cheek and he rolled his eyes with a small smile.

I sped up the stairs and right into somebody, nearly falling backwards with the force. a pair of hands grabbed my arms and uprooted me.

"I'm so sorry-"

"april?!" I looked up.

"no way" so many reunions today "finn?!"

"I was unaware you lived around here" he said slowly and I smiled. he's such a nice person.

"yeh just a little walk away actually" I said "can we talk later? I need to talk to rebekah"

"yes, of course" he bowed his head and continues his walk down the stairs. I didn't move for a second just appreciating his kindness before shaking my head and knocking on the first right door.

"how many times have I told you-" she opened the door yelling and i raided my eyebrows in surprise. she didn't seem very happy but I wouldn't be either if I had someone around and my brothers kept interrupting.

"hi. I heard you have a boyfriend" I looked over her shoulder and saw jeremy sitting on the edge of her bed, his cheeks tinted pink and my smile widened "were you two-"

"yes" she interrupted, glancing behind her "don't embarrass him"

"you two are so cute" I squealed and she pulled me into her room. wow, I'm just getting pulled everywhere today "hi jeremy"

he gave a small nod so I looked back over at rebekah who had her arms crossed.

"so I was thinking that we should hang out more" I explained and she opened her mouth "but...you seem busy right now so call me when you're free and I'll be hanging with your brothers in the meantime"

she looked about to object before she sighed and her tense posture relaxed.

"can you keep them away from this room? she added desperately and I nodded trying very hard not to grin.

"yep" I thought for a moment "do you think it would be weird for me to hang out with them without stefan and damon knowing. I mean it's not like I want to be with any of them but I don't know how they would feel about it"

"it shouldn't matter" the blonde said "if they trust you then you should be allowed to hang out with whoever:

I was anxious for some reason but knew rebekah was was right...right?

"okay well, it was lovely seeing you" she pushed me out the door and slammed it in my face which was kinda rude but I understood.

her and jeremy are definitely going to be the latest hot couple and honestly I think they both deserve this.

guess I better go scavenger hunting for the males of the household.
