Being told that I had to go to school was not something I wanted to hear, ever.

It's not that I'd ever actually been to modern high school but from the movies, gossip and stories, there didn't seem to be much for me to look forward to.

They said it was to keep up appearances so nobody would question why I was of the age to go to school but wasn't.

I flat out refused the first time they asked but, of course, they had to bring out the puppy dog eyes and I'm ashamed to admit that they really did work just as well as they did many years ago.

So, that's how I found myself getting up early to get dressed, brush my teeth, eat something before going to school whilst I gave them both the silent treatment.

Damon couldn't go to school because he looked too old, it was funny how Damon's older but he acts more like a child.

Stefans car was definitely not the prettiest thing I've ever seen, Damons looked slightly better but you'd think with all that money they had that they would buy a really cool car.

After we got to school, Stefan stepped out the car as I sulked in the passenger seat with my arms crossed, refusing to move.

He walked round to my side of the car and opened the door as he held his hand out for me to take, which I turned away from in my very mature sulk.

"April, stop pouting and get out the car" he scolded and I huffed but got out the car anyway, blocking my eyes from the sun which was very rudely trying to blind me.

I looked around to see most people staring at me which definitely did nothing to improve my mood.

"Stefan, they're staring at me" I tattled in a very whiny voice, determined to be as annoying as I could all day so they wouldn't make me go to school again.

He just rolled his eyes, slammed the car door shut and wrapped an arm around my shoulders as he guided us into the office.

Despite my mood, I couldn't help but lean into him as we walked through the door and I didn't miss the smug smile that he gave me.

I stuck my tongue out at him but he just leaned forward to kiss me, biting my tongue in the process.

"Ew, you're so gross" I said and he raised an eyebrow at my, probably flushed, cheeks knowing that I did, in fact, quite enjoy the little show of affection, teasing or no.

He hummed in response and focused his eyes on the front desk as he basically forced the poor woman to give me my schedule which wasn't really mine.
