Everything was practically perfect so it only made sense that something happened to ruin it. Stefan, Damon and I were working on a collage of old and new photos to hang in our bedroom. It was mainly me doing it whilst the boys just looked at the photos and watched me work. Then Damon got a call from none other then Princess Elena herself.

"What" he sighed into the phone, not bothering to hide his annoyance at seeing her name pop up on the screen.

"Now is that any way to greet an old friend" a voice that sounded way too smooth to be Elena's answered and Damon and Stefan sat up straighter.

"K-Katherine?" Damon stuttered, yes the ever charismatic Damon Salvatore actually stuttered.

"Ding ding ding, right in one" she taunted and I rolled my eyes as I stuck another picture to the board "I feel like we should catch up, meet me in that place called" she paused for a moment to shout back to who I can only assume was Elena 'what's it called?' she whispered and a similar voice answered from further away "right, the grill in half an hour okay? Bring your pet with you too or little Elena might just find herself without a head"

"We don't care about Elena, why would you use her as your bargaining chip?" Stefan asked and Katherine just laughed.

"Because she's important to someone very powerful and if you're the reason she dies, well...you'll have a gaping hole in your chest for starters" she threatened.

"I for one will be happy to see you again after all these years Katherine. After all how often do people get to repay the favour to the person who killed them" I said casually and Damon smirked at me before speaking.

"Sure, we'll be there" he hung up and chucked his phone onto the bed before laying on his back with his head in my lap with I sat up straighter against the headboard.

"I'm trying to do something, you know" I raised my eyebrows at him and he just shrugged.

"You can still do it with me here" he shut his eyes and I just sighed before grabbing one of the little pictures, putting some glue on it and sticking it to his forehead as Stefan just shook his head at me, a small smile gracing his lips.

Damon opened his eyes and looked at Stefan.

"What picture is it?" He asked and Stefan focused on the picture on his head before replying.

"The one where we had a water fight in the garden and she managed to stay completely dry" he started and Damon nodded as he remembered.

"I still don't understand how you did that by the way" he continued turning to look at me as I raised an eyebrow.

"It didn't last for long anyway considering you trapped me in a bear hug with your soggy clothes" I replied and Stefan shrugged.
