After asking around (and by that I mean compelling people to give me information) I finally found where they lived. I should've remembered but a centurys worth of information can very easily overpower my human lifes knowledge.
I stood in front of the door and readied my hand to knock but froze as a million negative thoughts ran through my mind once more.
"No" I said to myself out loud which, in all fairness, didnt make me look any less crazy.
I knocked gently on the door and waited for a couple of minutes but nobody answered. I knocked again, this time slightly louder but there was still no answer.
I was getting antsy so I decided to go and look around to see if I could spot them.
To my surprise, I saw somebody else who I hadn't seen in years, Niklaus Mikaelson.
He looked almost the same as the last time I saw him, except the hair, he had definitely modernised himself.
So I had the wonderful idea to follow him because, why not?
I pulled out the marble that Sophia had so graciously given me and crushed it in my hand, smoke curled around my body and created a temporary cloak of invisibility.
I might've just wasted it but my curiosity got the best of me as I stalked him down the street until he arrived at some sort of school.
I was pretty sure that he didnt have any children, that thought was enough to make me snort, Niklaus with a child...just no.
He walked into a gym and I went to stand near a wall, as far away as I could get as I knew the cloak would not last long and I'd have a reunion with my 'friend'.
I also saw a Katerina lookalike but as I still held so much hatred for her, I decided that I would avoid looking at her face. Well of course when I first looked at her I thought it was Katerina but it was a 'doppelganger' called Elena.
Then there were two humans that Klaus made leave and a baby vampire by the name of Caroline along with a werewolf called Tyler.
Too many names to take in but I might've managed it if I reallyyyy wanted to. Which I didn't.
I was going to leave but my cloak decided that it was time to disappear so I was left out in the open.
So far, nobody had seen me and I couldn't see a clear way out so I decided to do probably one of the most stupid things I could've done.
"Hey guys" yes that's what I said, I don't know why but I did.
Everybody turned to look at me and for a couple of seconds nothing happened, until Rebekah stormed through the doors.
"Why is everyone-" her eyes widened as she looked at me and zoomed over so she was right in my face.
"April?" She asked before bringing me in for a hug.
"Rebekah? I thought Klaus had you in a box with a dagger through your heart" I whispered into her ear. That sounds sensual, I swear it wasn't, I just didn't feel the need to shout in her ear.
"You thought correctly" she said before pulling away.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Yes, love I too would like to know that" Klaus butted in, looking quite unamused.
"I uh was trying to find someone" I tried the vague answer but I realised that it may look like I was following them.
"I do not have time for this, we'll leave the reunion for later Bekah...and April love just stay near Bekah and dont interfere" well at least he wasn't going to try and kill me like last time.
I saluted him and walked back over to the wall with Rebekah in tow, apparently I wasn't allowed to leave any time soon.
Luckily Rebekah and I were old friends and I knew she wouldn't let anyone hurt me, least of all Niklaus.
"Who are you looking for?" She whispered, low enough so that only I could hear her.
"Its complicated" I sighed and she looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
"I may be a bit out of practise but I do believe you're avoiding answering my question" she grumbled.
"How's Marcel?" I asked, trying to clue her in without actually telling her.
"I haven't had the chance to see him since I was undaggered" she said, sadly before her eyes widened and her head flew up to look at me.
"Your mates here, in Mystic Falls? Are they human? Are they-" I cut her off with a small laugh.
"Look, like I said, its complicated. They're vampires but...again it's complicated" as you can see I have a way with words.
"Fascinating, we'll come back to this, right now, its time for the grand entrance of the ripper" she sounded bored but I was very interested.
"I dont know who that is but I'm very excited to meet them" I said and she laughed loudly at me earning a glare from her brother and a few surprised stares from the rest of them including Miss lookalike.
Just then, the door burst open and one of the people I had longed to see for decades waltzed through the door with his signature frown adoring his gorgeous face.
I felt my eyes start to water again and I couldn't find it in myself to walk towards him so, naturally I tried to mould myself into the wall whilst Rebekah frowned at me.
