Now, you'd think nothing could've ruined that magical moment, yes? Well you're wrong.
A certain doppelganger decided to interrupt the moment by saying
"What the hell is going on" seriously?! Couldn't that have waited until we were done.
In an instant, Rebekah was in front of her face.
"Did I say you could speak" she hissed, her hatred for Elena very clear.
"It's not like you can kill me" she spat, rolling her eyes.
Bad move.
"I'm not able to kill you but you don't need your tongue to live" she said absentmindedly whilst she inspected her nails.
Elena blanched and her face turned a very sickly shade of green as she imagined the reality of what that would be like.
"Hm not so chatty now are we, love" Niklaus spoke, watching the interaction with a smirk on his face.
"We don't have time for this, Tyler's dying" the blonde vampire shouted.
"Well if your witch wasn't completely useless, he would be in transition" he growled.
I pulled away slightly from Stefan to see that there was, in fact a seemingly dead boy on the floor.
"What are you even doing Nik?" I asked, raising my eyebrow as he turned his head towards me.
"I'm trying to make hybrids" he said through clenched teeth.
"I was only asking, jeez" I mumbled as I attempted to move out of Stefans arms to help.
I didn't particularly want to move away from him but Niks anger tends to result in some not very good things. I should be blabbering to Stefan about how much I missed him but instead I had to figure out what was going on.
As you saw, I said I attempted to get out his arms, because as I tried to untangle myself, he let out a very inhuman sound that sounded like a growl of sorts and tried to pull me back.
I couldn't help the small laugh that I let out, I thought he was a vampire not a wolf.
I grabbed one of his hands and pulled him with me, wanting to get this over with as soon as possible so we could have a catch up and so I could ask about Damon because he didn't seem to be around.
Stupid question time...
"Why isn't it working?" See I told you.
He glared at me and Stefan brought his arm to wrap around my waist, taking a small step forward in a protective manor.
"Now if I knew that, love we wouldn't have a problem" he said calmly, glancing at Stefan.
So we talked for a little while about all the things that went wrong when he tried other times and all the possible things that could work.
During that time, Tyler was very close to permanent death and Caroline was getting fidgety.
Stefan hadn't contributed once to the conversation as he either played with a strand of my hair, flattened out the fabric of my dress or placed gentle kisses on my shoulder, neck or cheek. I definitely wasn't complaining.
Until I actually had a potential solution, I know it's very surprising that my brain had a moment where it's wasn't completely stupid.
"So your mother hated you, you loved Katerina at one point" I gagged a little bit at that but continued.
"Elena's her doppelganger, obviously and you're trying to figure out what to do and how she's involved" I muttered to myself, slowly getting to what I hoped was the right answer.
Niklaus nodded his head and then that's when an animation of a lightbulb lit up above my head, I'm kidding but how cool would that have been.
"Has anyone got a container of some sort?" I asked and everybody looked at me, confused.
Caroline looked through her discarded bag and brought out a little flask that I took with a small thank you.
I walked over to Elena with Stefan still by my side and was about to cut her wrist until I realised that it might not be smart considering Stefan had been called the ripper when he drank human blood and, as cool as that sounds I didn't want to find out what it meant in that moment.
"Uh Stefan, you might want to go stand over there" I said ponting towards the wall that I'd crumbled.
He started to protest.
"Please" I added and he huffed and reluctantly walked away.
When he was a good distance away I turned back to Elena who was glaring at me.
"Put out your wrist" I asked, not compelling her.
"I can't be compelled" she rolled her eyes and I flicked her forehead, it was least aggressive thing I could think of doing.
"I wasn't trying to compel you, I was asking you nicely" I said and she frowned but held out her arm.
I brought my finger nail up to the vain in her arm and made a cut across her wrist. She let out a little yelp and tried to move her arm away but I held it firmly.
There were a few shouts of protest, including Nik and Caroline but I ignored them as I brought the flask up to hold her blood.
When I had enough, I bit into my own wrist and offered her it but she glared at me and shook her head so I did the next best thing which was tearing a piece of fabric from my dress and wrapping it around the small injury.
At this point everyone was watching me and Stefan made his way back over to my side.
I handed the flask to Caroline and pointed at Tyler.
"Put it in his mouth" I told her and she frowned but did as I said.
For a couple of minutes of uncomfortable silence, nothing happened and I was about to call myself a lot of different idiotic names.
"What was that suppo-" Nik started but was cut of by Tyler taking in a big gulp of air and looking around frantically.
Caroline rushed over to him and almost crushed him in a hug as she mumbled under her breath about thinking he was going to die and how she couldn't save him.
Niklaus' eyes had widened to the size of saucers and his mouth opened and closed like a fish whilst I let out a relieved laugh and Stefan looked as neutral as ever.
