Nico's P.o.V.

Annabeth told us that the letters said we had to go to this place called 'Diagon Alley'. The headmistress of Hogwarts had made arrangements for us to stay at a magical hotel, 'The Leaky Cauldron' for a week. It had a ticket for each one of us to board the 'Hogwarts Express' which would take us to the wizard of school. It also gave a list of items we will need for the school year. So after a good breakfast, the four of us went off to the address given for the leaky cauldron, paying £91.71 for our stay.

Luckily, The Leaky Cauldron wasn't far from the hotel, at least by demigods standards. We were able to go there on foot. First we didn't see anything p, but as we approached the address, a cauldron appeared on the plain black sign. Annabeth posted open the door and went up to the person who looked like he was the manager.

"Excuse me sir? We need to get to Diagon Alley... our Hogwarts letters said the entrance was through here and Professor McGonagall had made arrangements for us to stay here," said Annabeth to whom I presumed to be the manager. He looked up and scanned our faces.

After a few seconds, he spoke with an English accent, "I believe you are the exchange students?" We nodded and he continued, "Very well, just take your keys and put your stuff in the rooms, then I'll help you find Diagon Alley."

We took the keys and tried to find our rooms. They were on the first floor and once we found them, we went into our four separate rooms.

Soon, we were back downstairs, and the dude from before took us to a brick wall with a trash can in front. "Wait a minute," said Percy, "Am I the only one seeing a solid brick wall or are we getting tricked?" The manager let out a laugh and tapped on some bricks. As soon as he tapped what I assumed to be the last brick of the pattern, the wall retracted back to form an archway leading to the craziest place ever.

We all were staring at the archway that seemed to appear out of nowhere as if by magic (well, it was by magic). Annabeth kept muttering under her breath about the construction of it while Percy seemed slightly dazed. I had no idea what I looked like, but I bet my face was just as shocked as the others'. Will was the first to recover from the shock. He said, "Well, what are we waiting for?" and marched into the alley.

We all followed suit and slowly got over the initial shock. We first headed for the bank which was run by goblins: Gringots to get our 'muggle' money exchanged for the wizarding currency. We walked up to the goblin at the front desk and Annabeth cleared her throat. He looked up and she smiled. "Good Morning sir, could we exchange £500 for galleons?" asked Annabeth politely.

The goblin wordlessly took the ward of cash that Annabeth placed on the desk and waddled away, coming back with a pouch. "100 Galleons," he said in a hoarse voice. She took the pouch and thanked him. The day flew by. The four of us got fitted for robes, bought quills and parchment, cauldrons and whatnot! Annabeth told us that she had an owl, sort of, so none of us got any pets. Now, we were standing in front of Olivander's to get our wands. This was going to be exciting...
