Chapter 15

Percy's P.O.V.

That was a close call... anyway, Annabeth did come up with a plan like always but we still need to be careful. Once we reached the castle Harry, Ron and Hermione started leading us to the 'Great Hall'. I don't know what that was, but they said we would get food, and I was starving. Suddenly, Ron seemed to realise something.

"Guys..." he started, "...Where's Ginny?" I looked around, and for sure, we were missing one red head... actually I hadn't seen her since we had gotten on the train and she and Harry had gone to sit with some other friends.

Harry and Hermione were now on high alert, so were Annabeth, Will and Nico. Even if we didn't know her that well, she was still our friend... kinda...

"Ginny!" Harry called. All of us ran around in the swarm of students looking for Ginny. Where could she be?

Harry's P.o.V.

When I had left to check in with Ron and Hermione, Ginny was right behind me. Where could she have gone? I'm really panicking. I know that she can take good care of herself but I'm still concerned for her...

Immersed in my thoughts, I didn't see where I was going and I bumped right into something, or rather someone.

" 'Arry! So good to see yer!" exclaimed Hagrid as he pulled me into a bone crushing hug. "Ya, same Hagrid... but we're looking for Ginny, have you seen her?" I asked. He chuckled, "O'course! She's gone to the Great Hall with Luna and Neville!" I felt like I could finally breathe again. "Thanks Hagrid. See you at dinner... you should get back to the first years."with that, the 7 of us made our way to the Great Hall, the exchange students looking just a little confused.

On our way we explained who Hagrid was and how we knew him. Once we got to the Great Hall, the four of them looked mesmerised as we led them to the Gryffindor table. I looked around frantically till I spotted a patch of long red hair next to a patch of dirty blonde. There was a brunette boy in the middle of them. "Finally!" I exclaimed as I ran up to the silver trio.

"We were looking all over for you guys!" said Ron. Ginny rolled her eyes, "You guys don't have to worry so much... seriously, I'll be fine!" We mumbled our arguments, but no one was buying it.

I shook my head and turned to the exchange students "You guys would sit with us to eat and attend all the classes with us. After dinner, we'll show you to the head boy and girl's dormitories where you would be staying," I explained as to clear any doubts they had.

We all sat down and Will asked, "And what about our lugga- I mean our trunks?" I chuckled remembering when I had wondered the same as Hermione told him that their stuff will all be in their dorms.

"Also, and this is very important," said Percy "Do you have blue food here?" Annabeth slapped the back of his head as we sat there confused. After regaining her wits, Hermione answered, "Um... not unless you count the blue jelly..." And just as she said that, a plate of blue pancakes appeared in front of Percy. Hermione looked dumbfounded before she remembered, "Or the elves can make anything you want for you..."

Before any of them had the chance to process this, McGonagall stood up to deliver her start-of-the-year speech.

"A warm welcome to returning students and newcomers," she started the speech looking around the room and finally resting her gaze towards the Gryffindor table, specifically at the exchange students, "We have some guests this year, exchange students from America. It is your job as students to make them feel as comfortable and welcome as possible.

Many of us, know what the last few years have meant for not only hogwarts but the wizarding community as a whole, along with the fall of many evil notorious people," She looked on the verge of tears as she turned away and looked towards the teachers table behind her which stretched along with empty chairs, "Our heroes fell too, some of the bravest, but the reason we're here at Hogwarts is to make it all better, so no one else has to go through the pain of losing someone loved so dearly, we look forward to a great year ahead,"
