Percy's P.O.V.

When I woke up, it took me a while to register where I was. I wasn't startled to wake up in unfamiliar surroundings - I was a demigod afterall, one who went on many quests at that. I finally gathered my thoughts, only to have a sweatshirt thrown in my face.

"At last, Sleeping Beauty awakes! I'm deeply sorry to interrupt your slumber, your majesty, but we have classes to get to. Put on your bloody robes and don't forget to brush your teeth. Also, kindly take a shower, it would be much appreciated," huffed a fully dressed Annabeth. Only catching a few words, I mumbled incoherently and made my way to the bathroom adjacent to our - or rather, the headgirl's - dorm.

By the time I was ready, we were running a little - just a little, I SWEAR - late for breakfast. We met up with Nico and Will in the common room and together we made our way across the disappearing and shifting staircases, winding corridors, long hallways and confusing landings - stopping to ask some stray students the way to the Great Hall.

We walked to the Gryffindor table to sit with Ron, Harry, Hermione, Ginny and two other people. One seemed to be a sheepish boy who had a faint blush on his cheeks, all looking prim and proper in his uniform that made it seem that he was taught to put on clothes by his grandma and a Ravenclaw with dusty blonde hair and glazed-over blue eyes as she spoke in a dreamy way.

"Good morning! Hello guys, who are you?" Will greeted, the latter half directed to the two unidentified students. Ron let out a chuckle at the boy's over enthusiastic behaviour, but the girl immediately responded- "Hello, I'm Luna Lovegood... have you heard, the Herping Hedgehogs come out this time of the year... Witch Daily says they are as yellow as the sun! Sounds like your hair, don't you think?"

A bit taken aback at her reaction, Will just smiled and nodded as he turned to the other boy, who introduced himself as 'Neville Longbottom, and you are?' Which led to all of us introducing ourselves as 'American transfer students'. We told them our names and that we'll be taking classes and sitting with the Gryffindors for the year.

We ate in peace while Annabeth asked the wizards about their classes, and soon enough, everyone was dispersing out the Great Hall. We trailed behind Harry, Ron and Hermione while Ginny and Neville went to their 6th year classes and Luna joined the children wearing bright blue robes (that TOTALLY didn't make me want to be in their house... pfffft, whaaaaat?)

First class we had was Potions with the Slytherins. Harry and Neville led the way and Hermione explained what we had covered in the previous years, with Annabeth listening intently while Will and I pointed out different paintings and marveled on how they moved to interact with each other and Nico was trying to suppress a chuckle (to keep up his 'gloomy kid' act perhaps) as Ron cracked jokes lame enough to rival Leo's.

When we reached the classroom, I immediately felt a shiver run down my spine. The man standing in front was pale with greasy black hair and a long robe to match. In a monotonous voice he started "Everyone, take your seats- now. And you" he threw a pointed look to us, "You can pair up so the new students sit with our resident... celebrities."

Everyone rushed to take seats- I ended up with Neville, Will with Harry, Annabeth with Ron and Nico with Hermione. Professor Snake or whatever (I wasn't really listening when Hermione told us which teachers were teaching us, sue me) started writing on the board and everyone got to work, running to the back to get the cauldrons and the ingredients out of the cupboard at the back. I just tried to follow what Neville did, but he wasn't much help, so I ended up with a lumpy, toxic-looking purple and my partner wasn't doing very good- what with his bubbling neon green concoction that was far from Hermione's pale orange 'Potion of Burn Prevention' we were trying to replicate from where she stood two benched before us.

The rest of the day was a similar disaster. We were already piled up with homework and this was that first day! Luckily, we had the rest of the day after lunch off since McGonagall decided to have the first day of semester shorter than the others. We stuffed ourselves and made our way to our dorm after saying our goodbyes.
