A little boy with dark brown eyes was sitting in the middle of an dark alley of standing stones. He sniffled and wiped his eyes.

He pulled his knees together to his chest and looked at his tiny foot prints covered in tar. Tears rolled down his puffy cheeks as he got flashbacks about what happened few hours ago.

-Flashback-

Two people, one female and one male, were slowly being swallowed by a pond of tar. They looked up in the safe distance where there little boy was standing in distress.

"Guy?" the woman called for the little guy, who was looking down at the tar in horror.

"Guy. You've got to go!" The boy's father commanded as he struggled to stay out of the tar.

"Guy, it's okay." Guy's mother assured him with a small forced smiled.

"No!" Guy shook his head furiously looking up at his mother then at the tar.

His father knew his little boy was thinking to jump in the tar so he could help them. "Son, the tar is rising. You've got to go."

"No, not without you." Little Guy denied stubbornly.

"Don't look at us. Look behind you." his mother told him.

Guy looked behind and saw the sun was setting down behind the mountains.

"Do you see the light?" his mother asked. In reply, he nodded turning back to her as his big brown eyes welled up with tears.

"You need to follow that light, okay?"

Guy nodded obediently.

"Don't stop. Don't hide."

-Flashback Ends-

"Follow the light, and you'll find Tomorrow."

Guy closed his eyes as more tears fell from his eyes.

Then suddenly he felt warmth. He slowly opened his eyes and saw the yellow rays. He turned around and saw the sun was rising.

"Follow the light." He remembered his mother's final words. He knew what he had to do. With a determined look he stood up and followed the sunlight.

☀️

"Travel log: Guy here."

Guy drew a half moon on a small wooden board.

"It's been 14 moons"

He looked at the previous 13 half-moons and smiled looking ahead.
