It was getting dark outside as The betterman family led the croods and Guy through a bridge towards the living room.
"As our houseguests, you're welcome to anything you want." Phil said, pointing their surroundings.
Grug jumped in joy when he saw bananas hanging from a tree. He held out his hand ready to pick one, mumbling, "I know what I want."
Phil instantly stopped him saying, "Uh, except for that."
Grug frowned, "But there's so many of them."
"Uh, sorry, Grug." Phil led Grug away from the bananas. "I'm afraid we have one house rule here. We don't eat the bananas."
"But they're right here." Grug argued, pointing at the bananas.
Phil shook his head, "Anything else, anything at all, is yours to enjoy." He patted Grug's chest, "But we don't eat the bananas." And gave Grug a thumbs up.
"Really?" Grug scowled.
"Heh?" phil continued to give him thumbs up with a creepy smile.
"No bananas?" Grug asked sadly.
"Heh?"
"But..." Grug was cut off by Ugga.
"We won't eat your bananas." She assured Phil, making Grug huff.
Hope smiled at Ugga, silently thanking her, "It's getting late, so..." she trailed off.
"Well, we can just sleep-pile right here." Grug announced, pointing at the ground in front of them.
"Got it. Solid spot, Dad." Thunk praised and laid down on the spot.
Ugga, Sandy and Gran followed, laying down on the ground while Hope and Phil scrunched up their nose in disgust.
"Look, Phil. They sleep in a pile." Hope stated, grimacing.
Dawn looked at the sleeping pile in awe and went to join them, "Ooh, fun!"
"Nuh-uh." Hope pulled her daughter away from the Croods like they were disease. *cough* Coronavirus *cough*
"Actually, everyone gets their own rooms." Phil announced, pointing at several rooms in the background.
Guy gasped and cheered, "We get separate rooms!"
Y/n looked at Guy curiously and asked, "What's a room?"
Thunk raised his head, excited, "What's a separate?"
"We Bettermans believe that privacy promotes individuality. Unofficial motto."
Grug pulled Y/n and Eep to his side, stating, "Well, we Croods believe that the pack sticks together no matter..."
Phil raised an eyebrow and smirked as the croods family along with Guy left Grug's side to get their own rooms.
