Kidnapped together

Snow

I told my parents everything, from the thoughts I had to how much I wanted to go back home. My parents held me through all of it, and at the end they were all crying. Just then, my little brother bounded into the room and hugged me. 

"Rose! I was so scared, you can't even imagine!" Hugo was so happy to see me. "Best Christmas present ever." 

My grandparents on my dad's side also showed up, my grandma did exactly what I thought she would. Made a ton of food which Scorpius and I devoured in seconds. My grandparents on my mum's side also visited, bringing a basket full of muggle sweets. 

Then the Potter family came. Albus was overjoyed when he saw us alive, and I had never seen Lily that happy. Christmas for us was visitors, visitors, and visitors. Uncle Bill came with his family, and Uncle Charlie came with them. Then Uncle Percy came with Uncle George, and we all had a blast. 

Scorpius and I were too fragile to leave the hospital just then, we ended up staying for a week. When they finally released us, the first thing we did was go outside. 

The fresh winter air was so peaceful, and the tiny white flakes made mounds of powder beneath our feet. 

Scorpius's POV

I watched Rose look at the snow as it fell down, the flakes peppering her light brown, poofy hair. I wanted to kiss her so bad. I took her hand and she looked into my eyes. I bent down to kiss her and she closed her eyes. 

When our lips met, sparks flared between us. It was only Rose in the world, nobody else. Her hair, her skin, the feel of her lips on mine. It was electric and I felt it pulse through my body. Rose just held me and we stayed like that for a long time. 

When we looked up Rose's whole family was watching with mixed emotions. My Dad looked proud, Ron wasn't ticked or pleased, just shocked. Hermione was happy and she squealed when we came apart. Lily, Ginny, Roxanne, Angelina, Audrey, Molly, Charlie, and all of Bill's family was happy. Everyone else was standing there in shock. 

"You. Guys. Are. SO CUTE TOGETHER!!!!!!!" Victorie squealed and she hugged Rose. Rose just looked relieved that her family didn't kill me. 

Rose and I left each other for the first time in over a month. 

Rose's POV

I stepped out of the car and walked into the house. I was so overcome with happiness and gratitude that I cried. My dad put his hand on my shoulder and held me close. 

"We're glad you're back Rosie."

I walked up to my room, where a pile of notes was waiting on my bed. "Hugo wrote a note every hour after you were kidnapped, sometimes they were words of hope and love for you, but more often than not they were scathing epistles that told Delphi to let you come home."

I laughed. I picked up one that said,

I can't live without you. Please have hope and come home!

IF YOU DON'T LET MY SISTER COME BACK YOU WILL PAY! LET HER COME HOME OR ELSE!!!!!!

"Oh wow, this is so cute!"

"Look at this one." My dad picked up another note. 

Dear Scorpius
Take good care of Rose. I know you can't do it as well as me, but please try.

"AW!" 

Hugo walked into the room and hugged me. "Rose, you're my best friend, I can't lose you."

I love my little brother. 

Scorpius's POV

My dad led me into the house. It's weird being safe again, but I love it. My dad hugged me again and whispered, "I'm never going to let something like that happen to you again."

"Dad, it was my fault..."

"You made a stupid mistake. We all make them."

I smiled and went to my room. It was tidy, compared to how it usually is over the Christmas holidays. I still couldn't believe this whole thing had happened. 

Suddenly, I heard my phone go off. I checked it and saw that Rose was texting me. 

Rose: Wow, reading these texts again... 😬

Scorpius: In hindsight, that was an absolutely terrible idea. 

Rose: I can't believe myself... 😣

Scorpius: Yeah, I can't believe we're out! Everything is still the same... 

Rose: Can you meet me in a few days ~I mean, not in the middle of the forest~

Scorpius: So we can talk?

Rose: Yeah, but let's make SURE that Delphi isn't there, and that there's someone nearby that can hear us scream...

I laughed and put my phone away. Rose was so great. My dad was standing in the doorway. "Who was texting you?"

"Rose." My dad laughed. "As I suspected. Humans, after going through something like this with another human being that they trust, tend to get amazing friendships with them."

"I hope this one stays." My dad was really getting into this. "Do you still feel protective of her?"

I realized that I still wanted to always be by her side. "Yes."

"Figured. Well, dinner is chicken crepes and we are having them at the Granger Weasley home, so you can talk to Rose then."

I smiled on the outside, did my happy dance on the inside.
