Rose POV
A couple days later, I had not had any sleep since we got the news. I was in the common room texting Scorpius at 4:00 am because he also couldn't sleep. (Albus somehow could, though.)
Messaging 12/4/21
Scorpius: Hi Rose.
Rose: Hi Scorpius, do you think that we will ever sleep again?
Scorpius: Probably not, but maybe.
Rose: I am still really scared, though.
Scorpius: We could go and study if you want to get your mind off it.
Rose: OK, Where should we go?
Scorpius: The forest, maybe? Delphi wouldn't think of looking in there.
Rose: I'll meet you by the whomping willow, just don't get too close.
We met by the whomping willow and went inside the forest. The forest was so quiet, I could almost hear my heart beating next to his. We sat down with our potions homework and got to work.
After a few hours, we heard some rustling behind me. I looked behind me and saw nothing, so I turned back to my work. Scorpius looked behind himself as well. He shrugged and got back to his. Then we heard it right behind Scorpius. A shape rose up behind him, and I froze. "Scorpius..." I whispered. He froze and looked up. "Oh no." He whispered.
Delphi was standing right behind him.
"Wow, I thought this would have been a lot harder to do. STUPEFY!!!" A bolt of red hit Scorpius and he hit the ground unconscious. I looked around for a weapon and found nothing.
"STUPEFY!!!"
Everything went red and then black.
