If you want to, you are aloud to skip this. You can come back to it at any time. I won't be offended. ;)
I'm well aware of all of the different myths upon werewolves. And I'm here to sort them out in the very beginning. I will have pack members and rankings here too, so it will be updated frequently.
Werewolves have been around almost as long as humans. As most believe, silver does harm them. It creates a sort of sickness at first, in a small dose. Stab them with it; it takes a while to heal. One way to kill them is with a silver tipped stake to the heart. Mistletoe also bothers them; it is the scent of it. Possibly the first werewolf exposed to humans at great lengths was beaten or kept in a cage of wood with mistletoe. But they hate it. Mistletoe is like the vampire equivalent of garlic.
To kill a werewolf (and I personally don't know why you would want to), there are a few ways to accomplish this. You can stab them with a silver tipped stake to the heart. Decapitating them also works. No matter what, after you kill a werewolf you must burn the body. Unless you want a pack of angry wolves on your tail. Fire affects them just like a human. It burns, and in great doses, can kill (like any three degree burn can).
Werewolves heal much faster than humans. Depending on the wound, it can be gone almost as quickly as it came. Werewolves transform into a full wolf, their size normally depending on their rank. They can be any breed of wolf, but are most commonly found to be gray wolves. When they change into their form, whatever they were wearing tears.
In general, werewolves are more animalistic. They become more powerful at the time of the full moon, and weaker at the new moon. Werewolves are in-tune with both sides of their selves.
Werewolves have specific mates. They look for these their entire life, and when they meet, they know it. Sometimes only one of them knows. It's a sort of instinct. Werewolves have mates for life.
To become a werewolf, you either are born one or you are turned. Most werewolves are born as such. They start getting their wolf form during puberty. Many humans who were bitten die as a result of being sick before they can turn. It is, obviously, a very painful process. Anyone bitten by the Alpha always turns. To be turned, you are either bitten or somehow get their blood into your body, generally by drinking it. (I have no idea why you would drink it, but hey. Some people are crazy.)
