"Slow your roll hooker." Laya said, holding her hand as I was about to jump off of the equipment box we were sitting on. "Stay, plead your case." she said to Matt, holding her hand out to me and ignoring my glares.
With a smile, she grabbed Renee's hand and the two of them walked back up the hallway with her heels in her hands. I knew that getting her to wear them all night was a long shot but she'll have to put them back on when she goes out to her seat. The blush was still on my cheeks, I could feel it as he looked at me, getting worse by the second.
"Why won't you look at me?" he asked.
"Can't help it." I replied, still looking at my lap.
"Look at me, so that I can do Laya right and plead my case."
"She doesn't know what . . ."
"Look at me, Bryelle." he said.
Sighing deeply I looked up and into his beautiful blue eyes. Eyes that I can feel on me in any room that I'm in. I figured he would come to sit next to me but no, not him, he remained in his position in front of me so that I would look at him.
"Yes?"
"I have questions for you."
"That seems like a lot." I said, dreading it already.
"It might be, might not be."
"Okay, shoot." I replied, hoping that I didn't regret it.
"Why won't you give me a chance? Why did you let me kiss you?" he asked.
"One question at a time, big boy."
"Okay, why did you let me kiss you?"
"I don't know, we were in the moment and . . . I don't know." I replied.
"Why won't you give me a chance?"
"That's a loaded question."
"Who scared you Bryelle? Who scarred you against opening your heart to someone?" he asked, honing in more each time.
"I don't want to talk about it, especially not here." I said, starting to feel the panic set in.
"Okay, I won't push but I'm not giving up. Go out with me tonight, after Raw." he suggested.
"We're already going out tomorrow." I countered.
"With Laya and Colby, yes. Go out with me tonight, just you and me. Nothing fancy or showy, we don't have to go somewhere big if you don't want to. Let's go get ice cream or milkshakes and stop somewhere calm. The beach."
"What did Laya tell you?" I asked him.
"Nothing why?" he asked and the curiosity on his face led me to believe he was telling the truth.
"I'm obsessed with milkshakes and I love the beach."
"Okay, so is that a yes?" he asked with a smile on his face.
"Yes, we can go lowkey hang out tonight."
"Are you gonna let me kiss you again?"
"Don't push your luck Graves." I said, laughing at him.
Now that he has what he wanted I guess, he hopped onto the box next to me, getting comfortable and really close. With a smile, I put a little more space between us and crossed my legs under me.
"How the hell do you do that?" he asked.
"I'm very flexible, this is just normal stretching to me. How the hell can you not do it?" I asked him.
