I woke up with a small headache and a bit of a cough. I wasn't too concerned though. This was basically nothing compared to what I had been through before. I walked out of the studio and saw Luke and Reggie playing basketball. It's really funny to watch ghosts play basketball because we can't always keep a grip on the ball.
"Reggie, the goal of the game is to get the ball in the hoop. Not the bushes." Luke said laughing. Reggie rolled his eyes and threw the ball. It fell out of his hands at the last second and bounced into the bushes. Luke and I burst out laughing. "Oh hey Alex." Luke said still laughing. "I didn't see you there." I ran over to the bushes and got Reggie's ball.
"Do you guys want to go play at the pier?" I asked. Luke and Reggie looked at each other and smiled. "Let's do it!" Luke said. We were about to poof out when Willie showed up. "Wow, you're off the couch again." He said with a smile. "I'm glad you're feeling better." He got close to me and we wrapped our arms around each other. We broke the hug and looked each other in the eyes. I kissed him on the forehead and poofed out.
I got the pier where Luke and Reggie were waiting for me. Reggie gave me a look like he wanted me to tell him something. "Dude what." I said. He put his hand to the side of his mouth so Luke wouldn't see. "Did you guys kiss, yet?" He asked. I chuckled. "You don't need to know." I said. "But no, we still haven't kissed on the lips." I looked down at my feet. "Oop!" Reggie said. I gave him a weird look. "What? I heard Julie say it."
Luke had finished setting up my drums and he grabbed his guitar and Reggie's bass. I sat down at my drums and started the song. Our new song was definitely going to be a hit. I had the occasional cough but fortunately, the audience couldn't hear it. The people at the pier can't see us but I like watching them dance around to our songs. I looked down the pier and saw Willie sitting on a railing. I felt a smile come to my face. I knew he was usually there when we played, but seeing him was even better.
We finished up our last song and Willie came over to where we had been playing. He helped me pack up my drum set while Luke and Reggie out their instruments into their cases. We grabbed all our stuff and poofed out.
Once we were in a the studio I started to feel... off. I put down the drum pieces I was holding and tried to keep myself up. The room was really bright and I felt light headed. Willie grabbed my arm, realizing something was wrong. Luke and Reggie ran over to me and Willie. Luke grabbed my other arm and Reggie helped them get me over to the couch.
"Alex? Alex what happened?" Willie asked in a concerned tone. "I- I don't know. I just got really light headed and the room got really bright." I said. I put my hand over my eyes to try to block out some of the light. "I'll get you some water." Reggie said. He came back a minute later and put down in the table next to me. "Thanks Reg." I said
I took a few sips and out the cup back down. "Do you need or want anything?" Luke asked. "Yeah I think I just need a..." I trailed off. All of a sudden all I could see was black. I couldn't speak but I could still hear. "Alex? Alex wake up!" I heard. I think it was Luke. There was more commotion. I heard so many voices. I think even Flynn came in at one point. I was really scared. What if I couldn't ever wake up?
