Liv sighed and flopped back into her bed. She just wanted to get the night over with and go home already! she made a mental note to call aunt Sab and uncle Tom so they could get her outta the trip early.
Liv got up, changed into casuals and made her way to the dining room. She saw Lie-la and her guard dog in cheap and revealing outfits. She fake gagged and sat as far away from everyone as possible.
She noticed that Bruce wasn't here! maybe she'd ACTUALLY get to enj- Oh great. Bruce is here.
"I hope all of you settled in our rooms, and I take it no one had any trouble?.... Great! Everyone can sit and let's enjoy dinner!" "I would've and then you showed up." She said softly.
unfortunately for her, everyone heard. "MARINETTE! HOW RUDE!" Lila screamed " seriously?! are you trying to give everyone tinnitus? If so it seems to be working." Lila looked genuinely offended for once, Alya just gaped at her, the rest, except Bruce, looked shocked. Bruce just looked defeated.
"Are we gonna eat or just stare at me? Cause I'm hungry and I wanna get out of here..Also I might have to pluck your eyes out- Never done it, but hey! first time for everything!"
Everyone just looked away
They were in the middle of dinner when Marinette's phone rang. "Chloe?" Marinette asked (Chloe didn't come along cause her dad's 'RIDICULOUS! UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!')
"Mari!!! I have bad news. REALLY bad news. like SUPER bad news." She said through sobs.
"Chloe I need you to take a deep breath. What's wrong?" "everything. The bakery caught fire and I'm so sorry Mari. I'm so so sorry."
"Chlo PLEASE don't tell me...." Mari felt tears but she didn't try wiping them away. Everyone just exchanged looks with each other.
"I'm sorry" Chloe whispered
"o-" *takes a deep breath* "okay...I'll freak out and cry later. Right now, what am I supposed to do?"
"umm, the guys said they have a number to contact in case anything like this ever happened...A certain Bruce. W?"
"NO!" Mari shrieked " no way. Nuh-uh. Not happening. NEVER EVER."
"Mari? what's wrong?"
"When are they contacting?"
"uh, he should get a call around right now?"
just then Bruce's phone rang
"I'll call you back."
Bruce stared at Liv, who stared back and replied with a "yes, sure, of course, thank you, bye." "WHY?! WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST DISAGREE?!" "cause I couldn't Liv-" "OLIVIA. ONLY PEOPLE WHO CARE GET TO CALL ME LIV." "I CARE!" "I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHETHER YOU SHIP AWAY EVERYONE YOU "CARE" ABOUT FATHER DEAREST." with that she stormed away leaving her terrified, shocked and confused classmates and every-sibling-except Damian, who wasn't there, A heart-broken Bruce, and a solemn Alfred behind.
"I hope this will help you understand Master Bruce, I really do."
