Took My Breath Away

*The day of the dance in the morning*

Niall's POV

Everyone wakes up early so we all have enough time to get ready for the dance and go to dinner before the dance, so everyone decided that me and Lili were gonna drive together, Liam and Isabella were gonna drive together, Louis and Harry were gonna drive together, and the rest of the girls were gonna drive together.

I texted Lili that "I'll be there at 6:00." So that we'll have enough time to go eat dinner with everyone and then go to the dance. She responds "Ok, I can't wait to see how handsome you look!" Me and the boys each take turns getting showers and then get dressed and do our hair.

Before I sat down to just chill for a second, Louis told me to come talk to him real quick. He says "I figured in case you get nervous tonight about anything, I just wanted to let you know that your gonna be fine and you and Lili are perfect for each other." I reply "Thanks Lou, that's means a lot." He responded "Of course mate, talk to me anytime." 

Lili's POV
Me and the girls have already gotten our showers and got dressed, we're doing each other's makeup and doing our hair. I decide to straighten my hair remembering again how much Niall likes it straight. Of course before all the boys got here me and my girls had to get a group pic, we looked gorgeous.

*At 5:50*

There's 10 minutes before the boys get here to take us to dinner and I'm completely freaking out, I'm pretty sure Kaylie noticed because she told me "Calm down, everything is gonna be fine, you look great!" I tell her "Thank you, so do you." Even though Kaylie told me to calm down I was still nervous, until I heard the cars pull up the driveway.

The boys ring the doorbell, I get up to go open the door and when I open it I saw Niall, and I'm pretty sure I stopped breathing for a second, and I'm pretty sure he stopped breathing too because he started turning really red but that could have just been him blushing, but Liam ran through the door to go hug Isabella, they all looked so cute!

Before we left to go eat dinner we took a whole bunch of photos together, and laughed so much, but we all soon got in our cars and we ended up agreeing on eating at the Japanese Steakhouse.

*On the way to dinner in Niall's car*

While me and Niall are driving to dinner we're singing to One Direction once again. I was in completely awe of his voice when he sings, I told him "You should really try to write a song, your voice is incredible! I could listen to it all day and all night." He starts blushing and replies "The only time I would write a song would be for you." I lean over and kiss him on the cheek.

*At the Japanese Steakhouse*

All of us were laughing and having such a good time, and then Haley shouts out "Niall and Lili were one of the couples that was chosen to compete for Prom Queen and Prom King!!!" Kailey asked "Who's the other couple?" Haley yells out again "Liam and Isabella!" Me and Niall look at Isabella and Liam and say in unison "Your on!" They give us a smirk back.

Niall's POV

We soon arrive at the dance and I cling arms with Lili and we walk to the entrance and the school's photographer was taking pictures so we got our picture taken together to be put in the yearbook.

Once we actually get through the entrance I ask Lili "Do you want a drink?" She says "Sure."Liam asked Isabella too so me and Liam went together.

When me and Liam head back to our dates we take a drink of the punch and can tell someone has already spiked it. Me and Liam start talking, and I'm pretty sure I started rambling off about how gorgeous Lili looked because Liam had to slap me to bring me back to reality, he says "Lad you seem to really like her, I don't think I've ever seen you this happy before." I reply "She literally makes me feel like I'm flying Payno, like when she cuddles up next to me I could stay like that forever, I could stare at her gorgeous bluish green eyes all day, I love her." And before I could process the words that came out of my mouth Liam says "Woah... you actually love her, I'm so happy for you mate." I started blushing and responded "I guess I do."

A slow song comes on and I look over at Lili completely breathtaking but I walk over to her and ask her "Do you want to dance?" She replies with a big smile "Of course."

As we're swaying back and forth to the beat of the music, with Lili's head resting on my chest. It felt like we were the only ones in the room. I spoke up and said "Hey Lili I need to tell you something-" but before I could get it out the dj started to play an upbeat song. I could barely hear but Lili said "What did you want to tell me?" I respond "It can wait." Me and the rest of our friend group started dancing and jumping around.

Me and the boys go get another drink, I think I've had maybe 8 cups of punch, so I go to the bathroom real quick.

Lili's POV

I was looking everywhere for Niall but I couldn't find him, so I go and ask Joury if she's seen him, and when I ask her she didn't respond so I say "Hello Joury, have you seen Niall." When I see she's not even looking at me I turn around in the direction she's looking and I see why she wasn't saying anything...
