Birthday Party

*Time jump to the day of the party*

Niall's POV

It was 11:56 when I called Lili but she didn't answer so I left a voice message.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL!! I hope you have the best birthday ever, and I can't wait to see you later today! Love you!"

Lili still hasn't called back or texted me and it was now 3:28. Hopefully everything was okay. Me and the boys were just chilling at my house.

"So Nialler, what did you get Lili for her birthday?" I hear Liam say from across my bedroom in the corner. "I got her something." I said simply. "You really aren't gonna tell us mate?" Harry says laying his head on Louis' stomach, who was laying on my bed. Those two have gotten really comfortable with being themselves around me and Liam, and I'm super happy that they are.

"It's a surprise." I say winking at him. Changing the topic I get Louis' attention "What are you doing over there Tommo?" He looks up at me. "I'm texting Haley, you guys wanna see what I got her?" We all nod. Louis and Haley have also gotten really close. I've heard Louis say that she is his girl best friend. Apparently he got her a gift on the side from just him even though we all agreed we would just get her one big present from all of us. But I didn't blame him, they were really close.

When Louis got up to grab Haley's present to show us Harry sat up and crossed his legs Indian style.

Louis returned with two rings getting Harry's attention "Woahhh are you gonna propose or something?" His cheeks getting red. "What? No! I'm literally in a relationship with you." That put a smile on Harry's face. "Their friendship rings, apparently they can tell you whoever has the other ring's emotions." Louis explained. "Wow that's really cool mate!" I heard Liam say. "Yeah, she'll really like it." I tell him.

It was 5:40 when I got a text.

Lili: Hey sorry I never called you back or texted you, we've been really busy and were running a bit behind, but thank you so much for the birthday birthday voice message! Me and the girls were wondering since were running really late, if you guys can, could you come over and help a little bit?

Me: Yeah, of course, we'll be right over!

Lili: Okay, thank you, see you soon.

And with that I tell the rest of the boys that the girls need help and we were walking out the door.

Lili's POV

The boys soon arrived and as soon as I heard the door open I heard footsteps coming quick in my direction, in the kitchen. And before I could even figure out who's arms lifted me up in the air and spinning me around and sitting me back down. Lips crashed down onto mine. And I knew exactly who's lips they were.

Opening my eyes and seeing beautiful ocean blue eyes and feeling his blonde hair touch my hands while my hands were wrapped around his neck. Brought a smile on my face and got rid of all the tense nerves from rushing around the house trying to set up.

"Happy Birthday Gorgeous!" Niall says with a big smile on his face. "Please I'm a sweaty mess from rushing around everywhere." I say raking my hands through my messy hair. "Your gorgeous no matter what." He says making me blush. This time I get up on my tippy toes and peck him on the cheek real quick, making him smile even more.

*1 Hour Later*

I got a shower and cleaned myself up and got dressed. I put some makeup on, a little bit more than usual since I was doing a party look.

After I was done getting ready I went to go see if Haley was done so we could go downstairs together. "Hey Haley are almost done?" "Yeah just doing my makeup" I walked into her room and sat on her bed she asked me if I was excited to see what Niall had gotten me and obviously I said yes. After a few minutes of little conversation we walked out of the room.
When walking down the stairs I was nervous because what if niall didn't get me anything but I pushed that feeling down and smiled as everyone there yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY".
I had a huge smile on my face and same with Haley but I think that was because she spotted zendaya standing there, but to be fair, I couldn't take my eyes off Niall. He looks so good smiling from ear to ear with his eyes on me. The first one to say something was harry and he said that we should open gifts first.

Haley and I stood next to each other while Louis gave Haley her gift. Haley and Louis' friendship has really grown since they first met each other. When Haley opened the gift she saw a ring and before Haley could even say anything Harry yelled out "Your not proposing right?" And everybody burst out in laughter. "No their friendship rings, see look at mine." Louis said showing his ring off that was on his finger. "Thank you Louis, I love it." Haley said before giving him a hug. Soon after that the girls passed their group gift along with the rest of the boys.
After opening all the gifts Haley screamed "Let's party" and someone started playing music and Haley left to start dancing. I was a little sad because Niall didn't give me a gift.

I was standing in the kitchen when Niall came up to me and whispered in my ear "Lili can you come with me real quick" and held out his hand obviously I grabbed it and he walked up the stairs to my room he opened the window and was able to get on the roof after he was up there he told me to come up too, I was scared but he helped me and we sat up there when for a little bit just looking at the town lights until Niall asked "What's wrong you seem upset"

I didn't want to lie to him so I told him "Nothing really, I was just disappointed that you didn't get me a gift. But I mean you didn't have to. Wow that was really selfish of me to say. You may have not had enough time. Or didn't know what to get me. I'm sor-" I was cut off by Niall planting a soft kiss on my lips to shut me up in the most kind way possible. When we pulled apart he was smiling so big which made me smile. "I wanted to give you my gift in private." He pulled out a small box and handed it to me, I slowly opened it and I saw it was a beautiful necklace. It was a black and white necklace with a heart locket and when I opened it there was a picture of me and Niall. I turned the locket over and saw that it said "I promise that I'll love you for the rest of my life" in small print.

I was so happy I teared up and closed the box and I hugged Niall. I whispered that I loved it and then kissed him so gently. He helped me put the necklace. "I love you." I said. "And I love you."

After a few minutes of watching the stars and holding hands Niall said "Wanna go inside and enjoy the party?" "Sure" I said and kissed him once more before going inside and walking downstairs.
When I got downstairs I saw all the girls drunk and just dancing when Haley saw me she ran over "Lili where have you been it's been like 20 hours." I told her "I was with Niall look at what he gave me." "Oh my god! That's so cute, you guys are definitely couple goals" We both laughed at how drunk she already is. After me and Haley talked for a few minutes about the party she grabbed my hand and walked me over to all the drinks.
"Everyone let's take shots." Haley yelled, everyone walked over.

Haley and Louis started pouring shots and passing them around. Everyone one took at least one the only people taking more was Haley, Louis, Zayn, Maddie ,and Kaylie I was standing there watching them when Niall walked over and grabbed my hand and said "Come on Lili let's dance"
Niall and I were dancing but I started to get tired and Niall must have noticed and asked "Are you tired love?" "Just a bit" I said and Niall grabbed my hand and walked me to my room and he told me to sit down and he walked over and picked me out pajamas and helped me change then got makeup wipes to take off my makeup for me after everything was done he crawled in the bed next to me and he started rubbing my cheek and looking into my eyes and then he said quietly "Happy birthday my love goodnight" then he kissed me I smiled and said "Thank you, I love you, goodnight" and then I fell asleep.
