NCT World 2.0 (Part Two)

To be sent in a van, blindfolded, and having no idea where you were going sounds sketchy from the start. But this was for the sake of completing missions, so be it. Who were the NCT members to expect any less?

So Ash found himself with no sight (having been blindfolded and his glasses with one of the staff) and sitting in a vehicle with five more of his members. Who he did not know at first until everyone started talking and asking questions. It was funny really how he could hear both Jaehyun and Taeyong screaming and asking. It was comedic and he let a small smile slip since he knew his members wouldn't see it at that moment. Don't judge the shy boy, anyway back to narration.

He let out a breathy and barely heard laugh when Doyoung started sniffing loudly. But what drew his attention away from the comedy was a hand on his knee. He knew who it was just by the warmth and habit of Jaehyun. A silent way of asking if he was okay and not panicking about the situation. So he intertwined their fingers briefly before letting go. All this not being seen on camera due to the angle, luckily.

There was something calming with the unknown in this situation. Most of the time, Ash would've been feeling anxious or worried but hearing Doyoung joke around, feeling Jaehyun by his side, Taeyong trying to cling to him and 2 fellow 2000 generation liners, it was fine. These were the people by his side and he wasn't just a variable to them, at least he hoped and thought so.

His heart rate picked up when the door of the van opened. He felt it based on the hot air of a city his heart was set on, the heat that seemed to reach the corner of his lips where a smile was adorned a few minutes ago unknowingly, and of course Taeyong's lack of presence by his side.

When he was next to step out, thankfully his senses acted for him even though he couldn't see. The staff also helped him have his arms extended to Taeyong's shoulder who started to do a shoulder movement. Ash laughed lightly and had Taeyong cooing at the boy. "I can't see you now Ash, but I bet you're so cute." The younger didn't try to stutter out a reply anymore but the leader knew he got him good when Ash's face snuggled to his shoulder a bit with whines of embarrassment. Although their moment was broken when Jaehyun joined the line, jokingly attempting to grab Ash as he proclaimed, "mine."

When they were guided inside slowly and to take their seats, Ash had a sneaking suspicion on where they were. It smelled like fish and it was a big giveaway really. He was thankful to be sat in between Taeyong and Jaehyun still. He just wanted a bit of hyung support, but of course, our boy won't admit that out loud 24/7.

"NCT! Take your blindfolds off."

When a voice spoke out, it should've surprised the members more. But the comments of their leader was just really easing them. "It's that man, again." He couldn't see as of that moment but he just knew the possible hand gestures his hyung was making and shook his head to it.

When Haechan and Doyoung initiated to take off the blindfolds together, after removing the cloth obscuring his view, light shone brightly. Attacking him but wanting to help, but unlike his other members, he still couldn't see and be squinting. When Jaehyun saw this he smiled and pinched Ash's cheeks as the boy did not see it coming. Doyoung who noticed Ash nagged him about his glasses again but asked for the staff to give it to the poor boy who still seemed to be blind. When he was able to put it back on and saw the stares he was given by all the other members who adorned their own smiles, he sent a small wave that was accompanied by a red tint to his cheeks. "Wah, thank you."
