its Monday, great. for some reason on mondays the bullies decide "hey! let's make (y/n)s day even worse!" so they do.

as you were getting pushed around in a circle of taller meaner 'men' you hear Val's voice.
"what the hell are you doing?" val asks sternly behind you. you look at him with ur books held tightly to your chest with tears in your eyes. u and Judd got in a fight last night because Judd felt like yelling but didn't know who to yell at. so he chose you.

anyway, having happen just yesterday and then being harshly pushed around and laughed at, you were ready for a good cry. u still held back your tears as you look down from val.

seeing u almost cry made Val more angry than he already was. he pushed through the boys and held you tightly. he whispered, "its ok, im here now."
when he pulled back he held your hand and just walked away. the boys were so confused about Val's actions they just stood there in shock.

u blush seeing his fingers intertwined with yours. he looks over at you, "you ok? u can talk to me you know that Right?"
"it's nothing really.. I've just had an argument yesterday that messed me up a little. Judd has never been very mean to me let alone yell."
"I'm sorry (y/n). is there anything I can do for you? and I actually mean that."

❤after school❤

Val asked you I'd u wanted to hang after school, of course u couldn't say no. so now Val is driving you to a 'secret location'

"where are we going?" u ask
"it's a secret~" he answers
"but I w-"
he cuts you off "we're almost there calm down."

u arrive at the almost top of a hill. its very tall with trees all around. the two of you get out and he holds your hand again.

the two of u walk in comfortable silence, well on the outside it's silent. inside ur having a mini panic attack from him holding your hand again. you'd think after you, hug him in front of everyone, bump into him a lot, and have his jacket you'd be used to his touch. but Nope!one day tho. hopefully.

u get to the very top and see the view. u lightly gasp and smiles at the beginning of the sunset.

"so I take it you like It?" he asks.
"I love it Val" you look a him and smile. he smiles back
"I'm glad! I come here sometimes when I need away from people."

u sit in the grass and he sits next to you.
"so (y/n), u know the thing I was going to ask you a while ago?"
"yeah? I've been thinking about what it could be. kinda a cliff hanger in a way" you chuckle/giggle.
"yeah.. uh do you mind if I ask it now?"
"I dont mind at all!"

he gets in front of you and takes a deep breath. ur heart beats faster every second of silence.
