A/N: In this imagine Bear doesn't exist. Don't hate me I totally respect the existence of Bear and love him because he is Liam's baby, but it just makes it easier for this imagine for him not to be in the picture. I hope no one is mad.

I was spending some quality time with some of my favorite people. Harry, Niall, Zayn, and Louis were all over at Liam's place playing video games. I'd been invited over as well. They'd said it was because I made killer snacks, but I knew they missed me. Also, I liked making snacks for them and then beating their asses at Mario Kart.

"Damn it," Niall threw his will remote on the floor angrily. I'd won again, and I could sense that the boys were feeling a bit mortified that out of the five of them, not one of them could ever pull ahead.

"I win aggggggaaaaaiiinn," I said in a sing-song voice.

"Oh, shut up," Zayn mumbled. Liam was laughing uproariously. Liam hadn't been able to play that round since only four could play at a time. The person who sat out thought it was hilarious when everyone else lost, but once they joined the game they got competitive and forgot the humor of the situation.

"Oh don't feel bad, you all had such busy schedules when you were on tour. You didn't have time to practice Mario Kart," I said, still grinning snarkily.

Louis made a face at me, sticking out his tongue. I returned the face.

"I can go easy on you next time if you want?" I said graciously.

"Ohhhh you're so kind to us poor souls," Liam laughed, knocking his shoulder against mine. Sparks seemed to alight in me where he'd touched. Liam was smiling happily at me and my stomach was turning. I decided to stop myself before I got too engrossed in the moment. It could be dangerous for me to show my feelings so blatantly.

"Alright," I tossed the Wii remote to Liam. "I'm out this round." I stood up to go check on the snacks I was making. I heard the beeps of the race starting as I left the room. Usually, if I wasn't playing Liam or Zayn would win, so I'd let them have that chance.

I checked on the cookies. They weren't quite ready yet. I refilled the bowls with the sweet and salty mix I'd created. I also grabbed cups to make milkshakes. After I'd quickly whipped those up, I took in two glasses to the boys.

"Here guys," I handed Liam and Louis the first shakes. The rest of the boys pouted. "Don't worry, you all are getting some, I just couldn't carry them all."

"Thank you y/n!" They chorused.

"Aw you're welcome guys, you know I love cooking," I laughed.

As I turned to leave, Liam grabbed the hem of my dress gently. I turned and looked down to where he was sitting.

"Seriously love," Liam said in a deep and kind voice. My heart stuttered as I looked into his soft brown eyes. "Thanks for everything," he finished.

I couldn't form words for a moment. Sometimes my crush on Liam was like another limb, something I lived with. It was easy and part of my everyday life, because I'd liked him for so long. However, sometimes, he took my breath away, and I had a whole new feeling about him. Sometimes the aching and longing suddenly became overwhelming. In those moments I found it hard not to just kiss him, to just tell him how I felt. I didn't want to ruin anything, but in moments like this, I just wanted to be near him, and show him how I felt.

"Y-you're welcome, it doesn't bother me," I gave a weak laugh, and I hurried from the room.

I stopped outside the door for a moment, to catch my breath. I was about to start out to the kitchen again when I heard a snarky comment from Louis.

"Well that wasn't totally fucking obvious at all," Louis's words dripped with sarcasm.

"Sorry, it's hard sometimes, not to be fucking obvious," Liam retorted.

"Dude, I don't understand why you don't just tell her," Niall said through a mouthful of the snacks I'd just brought in.

"Tell me what?" My brain practically screamed. My nails were digging into my palms with the anticipation of what he would say.

"It would ruin everything," Liam said in a whiny voice.

"But you still like her right?" Harry asked in his slow voice. My breath hitched as I waited for Liam to speak.

"Course I do, how couldn't I?" Liam sighed. I could imagine him running a hand through his hair as he leaned against the couch.

"What about Cheryl?" I heard Louis ask. I was wondering that myself.

"Wasn't that real?"

"It was and it wasn't," Liam tried to explain.

"I definitely had feelings for her, but I don't know, they weren't nearly as strong as the ones I've got for y/n."

"So Cheryl's done then?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, it wasn't fair to her, what I was doing. She deserved someone who actually could love her fully," Liam sighed. I could sense the guilt in his voice.

"So all this time, you've still been in love with y/n?" Harry drawled.

"It's always been her, since I met her, it's been her," Liam let out a shaky breath. I peeked in the door and saw Liam with his head in his hands.

"So what are you gonna do now?" Zayn asked sympathetically.

"I guess live a loveless life," Liam joked.

"Or you know, stop being a wanker, and tell her how you feel," Louis laughed.

"I'm pretty obvious, I think she knows I like her, and she's never really given me any hints that she feels the same way. I wouldn't want to make it awkward," Liam explained.

I walked back to the kitchen almost mechanically. I filled up the last three gasses with milkshakes. I didn't know what to do with this information. I tried to act normal, I walked back to the room casually, and handed Zayn, Niall, and Harry their shakes.

"Y/n, you've got a really odd look on your face," Louis commented.

"I, uh, I'm fine, what?" I knew I wasn't making sense, but all I could think of was Liam's words.

"Hey buddy," Niall nudged Liam. "I get the feeling she overheard ya."

Liam went colorless, and stock still. I tried to deny it to save Liam from any embarrassment, but I couldn't make my words work. Instead, I walked out into the hall again.

"Y/n!" I heard Liam call. He rushed out into the hall. He looked at me searchingly.

"Did you, did you hear? Like Niall said?" Liam asked worriedly. I could only nod.

"Well, I'm sorry," Liam said.

"Sorry?" I finally got my mouth to work. "Sorry, because you didn't mean it?" I asked.

"What?" Liam said distractedly. "No of course not, sorry because you weren't supposed to know. You weren't supposed to find out like this," Liam rambled.

"Liam," I tried to stop him.

"In fact, you weren't supposed to know at all, I wish-" I cut Liam off but pressing my lips to his. He leaned into the kiss gratefully and pulled me into his arms.

"Liam, don't worry," I whispered when he backed away. "I like you too, from the moment I met you," I said and he smiled widely.

"Really?" He asked happily.

"Of course," I kissed him again. "By the way, if you were obvious you weren't obvious enough, because I had no idea you liked me."

Liam laughed and kissed my cheek. I was about to give him another kiss when I hear the oven beep.

"My cookies!" I yelped, and Liam laughed as I ran off to get them, very happily I might add. I finally knew Liam Payne liked me, and burnt cookies couldn't get me down.
