NO ONES POV

Demons lurk closer than you'd like them too. When one child is born, a life is taken, it's the cycle of life.

Giovanni left to go and meet up with Santini leaving his trustworthy men in charge of guarding his queen. Nathalie and the two young boys sat around watching Netflix that was until they started getting hungry.

Choosing to make a homemade pizza, they realized that they needed to get some things from the grocery store, and Nathalie remembered she needed her Kotex's. The trio arrived in the car heading for the nearest grocery store.

Tim, long hair, light skin, chubby boy, walked ahead of Nathalie, while Kes, dye red hair, slender white boy walked in the back of her. The two observed their surroundings, keeping an eye for cockroach as Nathalie shopped for the ingredients needed for the pizza.

It was a quick in and out, and they got home without a hitch. Kes sat in the living room watching tv as Tim and Nathalie made the pizza.

Kes got up to use the bathroom, nothing knowing that the enemy would be waiting for him. He opens the door only to receive his death, the gunshots being silence with the help of a silencer. Tim and Nathalie are unaware of the events that are about to take place.

The shooter stepped over Kes's lifeless body, going to take his prize. He calculated everything and knew how he would make both of them suffer. The shooter didn't think much of Kes, and Tim only saw them as a cousin of hers that he probably didn't know about.

He walked out of the bathroom, going down the hall, into the living room and standing at the kitchen counter. He waited patiently for the both of them to turn around, and to his favor, they did just that.

Shock, panic, and fear were evident on their faces, and he smiled. Without warning, he shot Tim in the chest. He walked around the counter, going to his prize possession, knocking her out with the back of the gun.

He searched the kitchen for a pen and paper, not finding any, he opts for a twisted alternative. Using the blood of Tim, he wrote on the floor next to his body.

"Warehouse Avenue 16th Street" Once he was done, he picked up Nathalie and carried her to his stolen car. He tied her up and drove down to Marcus's warehouse. Marcus knew what Trent wanted to do, but what Trent failed to understand was Giovanni was the Red Devil, and he just took his Queen.

Meanwhile, De Luca was trying his hardest not to show his anger, not that he had to worry about that. He was wearing his mask, like always, but he knew if the face doesn't give you away the rest of your body does. The way you breathe, your nose flares, your chest moves. The tick in your body parts gives off, a finger twitch, a footswitch, an unusual swallow of spit. It all gives you away.

"I don't have to explain anything to you. The video shows it all," In the video, Santini showed him, it was Olivia picking up Trent. Olivia's family lawyer, Ethel Jims, meeting with Trent.

In other words, Olivia put a hit out on Nathalie. "Send your men out," Giovanni request, and Santini gave the order. Once everyone cleared out, and they were alone, he removed his mask and his scrambler box.

"Olivia should count her stars that she's pregnant," Giovanni voice his lingering thoughts. "She's at my parents; no one goes near there. As much as I want her dead right now, I'm not harming a kid," Giovanni order, and Santini agreed. Giovanni folded his arms.

"We still have the matter of Marcus," Santini reminded him. "I was able to find his hideout..." Banging on the door interrupted him, and Giovanni strapped on his mask and voice scrambler. Santini orders the person to enter.

"It's Nathalie! Trent got her!" Hendrickson shouted as he entered, Santini's men and De Luca's men followed behind him. Giovanni's hands came down. Santini expects him to blow out or act irrationally. But as always, the devil himself was calm and cold as if he ruled hell himself.

"What happened?" De Luca demanded calmly.

"Shift change found Tim and Kes. Kes is dead, a bullet to the head. Tim survived by mere luck; the bullet missed his heart. Tim said it was Trent, and he left a message "Warehouse Avenue 16th Street,"

"That's Marcus hideout," Santini rushed out. If the warehouse was quiet, imagine the fear Santini, his men, and De Luca's men felt when De Luca began to laugh.

"Perfect," Giovanni breathed out when he regained his composure. "The cockroach is mine," He announces once he gave out his orders. Santini caught on to what his plan was, his men looked to him, and he nodded, giving them the okay to follow De Luca's orders.

Marcus and his goons celebrated foolishly. They manage to take a portion of De Luca's shipment. With the help of Trent, they manage to steal two containers full of weapons from Santini, and now they had something the devil wanted back, bring him directly into a trap. It would take the two most potent families out.

As Marcus celebrated, Trent woke Nathalie up, she shook her head, only to groan from the stinging, throbbing pain on her left temple. Her hair was yanked back, forcing her head to look up to her nightmare capturer.

"If you hadn't chosen him over me, I wouldn't have to do this," Before she could ask her question, he stabbed her in the gut. A pain-filled screamed bounced around the room. He released her hair, and she hung her head, trying to cope with the pain.

"Let's see if your precious cop will come and get you," Trent spat with venom. Nathalie felt as if she could die at that moment. "Knowing the cops, they'll come and be caught in the crossfire between De Luca, Santini, and Marcus. I know Santini and De Luca will kill each other,"

Nathalie was in too much pain to understand what he was ranting on about. Trent punched her, once, twice...then she lost count. He retook the knife, sliding it between her legs.

Gathering what strength she had, "Please don't do this!" A fist to the face was delivered as a message, and she spat the blood out. Deciding that he wanted to see the look of the cops' face when he took Nathalie's life.

Trent put the knife down, giving her one final look before walking out and turning to Marcus and his gang. They began setting up for the ambush to come.

With tightly closed eyes, she taught of one person she prayed would save her... "Reds," she whispered, taking slow, shallow breaths.

Santini and De Luca's men moved out, each tasked with a job. Santini and Giovanni rode together, Giovanni checks his gun, before relaxing in his seat.

"Hold on Nathalie, I'm coming for you, and I'll finally end your nightmare," He looked over to Santini, silently telling him to step on it. In his peripheral vision, Santini saw the silent message, putting the pedal to the medal.
