|| 11. A child take a human life? ||

Well it's something you would never forgot, it's haunts you still to today. A child, take a human life. But it's made you what you are today, but with every fibre in your body you regret what you have become. A vampire, just like them.

It was your average day, you had woke up, gone to school and now you were heading home. You walked from in the city and out into the countryside, you took at least half an hour to walk home. You finished school at 4pm, and it now being winter. It was even more dangerous to walk home, because simply, you never knew who was about this time of night.

Well this one night in particular, as you strolled home out of the city. Your face tied in a book, and the night falling peacefully. Quickly, you passed the last few shops before the countryside. There was an ally way you had to go up, which lead in the fields of nothing for a good 10 minutes. There was a much safer way to get home, but it took longer to get there. So the ally way was your shortcut. Tonight though, as you started to walk up it. You heard screams from the fields, this made you look up from your book. The end of the ally approached and you tried to be as quiet as you could be so they didn't hear you.

For a moment, you sat watching as they killed. You practically vomited but swallowed it back down as you thought wisely about your next move. Fuck your stomach because it forced the sick out this time and you made vomit noises so loud they noticed you. You panicked as they approached, you didn't bother running. If they wanted to kill you, let them. You couldn't out run them, and you had always wanted to be famous for something random. So being murdered would be something of a story huh?

Surely but slowly, you sat down next to the sick on the floor and waited as someone approached. "um how long have you been here?" asked what looked like a man. "about 5 minutes, but please don't kill me. I walk this way home every night, I won't tell anyone what I saw" you stuttered and he held out his hand. "Come with me please" he asked and you gulped, knowing your fate by now. You gave the man your hand as he dragged you to two other people he was with. 

Quickly, you walked and another man grabbed your wrists, bringing you up close to his face. Eyes a piercing blue, teeth like sharp knifes. "She was there about 5 minutes, look Lestat please just let her go. I don't want to kill again, it's making me sick" said the other man, the man holding you now dropped you on top of the dead corpse. You screamed as you saw the corpse and you jumped up. The, what looked like a young child, grabbed you and you gulped. "Fathers, I want her to be my new sister" beckoned the little girl to her dads. "What? Please just let me go, I don't know what you guys are but I just want go home!" you said attempting to pull away from the little girls grip.

"Claudia dear, why this one? You've never asked for another sibling before" asked the man who found you. "Because she's beautiful like me, and has a built inside rage that will help towards killing if we turn her" said Claudia, your heart pounding like mad. What did she mean by inside rage? Or turn her? "What do you mean?" you asked, them looking at you like you were crazy. 

"We are vampires dear, I'm Lestat, this is Louis and this is Claudia. She is our daughter and you are to be are other one. We are your new family, I will take your life and Louis will give you a new life" smirked Lestat, as he held out his hand. It was clear they didn't need or want your consent, but they had it willingly. "Sure, what is there to lose?" you muttered, realising you simply had no other choice. Lestat smiled taking you into his embrace and biting your neck, the pain was something you had never felt. It hurt terribly but felt so arousing at the same time, as you had your life drained away from you. 

Then you saw Louis slit open his hand, gently placing it onto your mouth. His blood was sweet and pure, suddenly Lestat kneeled down. He placed you on the ground as your life faded away. 

You woke up to them over you but you felt like nothing. Then the sudden burst of life hit you but you sat up to Louis behind you. Lestat and Claudia had disappeared. You turned around to him and he embraced you in a hug. "Go, please go home! They forcefully turned you because you caught them killing. Claudia didn't want another sibling" he whispered into your ear, then he passed you a ring. "Wear this, it will protect you from the sun. Never take it off, promise me that. I hope to see you again" Louis smiled, leaving you quickly. You never got up so fast and ran home as you did that night.

"Sorry mum, I had detention" you muttered running to the bathroom. "Okay!" shouted your mum sounding worried. You locked the bathroom door and cried, why did this just happen? To you, of all people. Although, you were thankful for the ring Louis gave you. He was the only kind one, he never really left you.

You say this because you now happily live with him, he saved you. 50 years down the line, you have regrets but none that involve him. You loved him and that's all that mattered. You guys just had so much in common. Regarding Claudia, she died tragically and Lestat disappeared.

Thank god, they were gone...
