My eyes fluttered open, revealing a white room. Was I actually in Heaven? How the hell did that happen?

I looked around and sighed as I realized it was a hospital room. I wasn't dead. Connor saved my life.

Most people would be thankful - but me? - I hate him at the moment. I was so close to death. How the hell did the ambulance even get there in time?

I sat up slowly and winced at the pain in my arms. I looked at them and saw that they were bandaged up. I chuckled slightly seconds before someone opened the door.

I looked up and saw a lady who looked like she was in her 30s. She had longish blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She was stunning unlike me with my mid arm length brown hair and brown eyes. Compared to her, or anyone for that matter, I might as well have been classified as a mule.

"Zoe, it's so great that you're awake. How are you feeling?" She smiled. She was flawless. I quickly became insecure and unable to talk.

"I-what happened?" I asked quietly keeping my eyes on my hands.

"You attempted to take your life on Friday night." Her voice spoke softly.

Friday night? Why didn't she just say last-wait.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked cautiously.

"Let's see, after you got to the hospital, we lost you for a minute and then you came back. After that - well you just slept. For three days. It's Monday afternoon."

I was in a lost for words. I actually did die. For some reason, the thought didn't appeal to me as much as it does now.

"Oh." Was all I could manage.

The silence turned deafening in a matter of seconds. It was absolutely terrible. I would try to start a conversation, but there was nothing I could say. Then something - or someone - came to mind.

"Have my parents came to visit me?" I asked quietly, hoping what I thought was wrong.

Her eyes turned sad before she sighed quietly and told me. "No, they haven't. After you were put in here, they thought it'd be best to leave you alone, so they went on vacation."

My heart sank. Vacation? Really? Their own daughter was put in the hospital and they went on vacation? I realize they didn't like me, but I didn't think they hated me.

"I'll leave you to rest," She spoke before opening the door and turning towards me for a split second. "My name is Katie. Please let me know if you need anything. And Connor should be here soon - he's came here everyday to see you. Keep him close."

With that, the door was shut and I was left with me and my self pity. I looked at the time. 6:58 p.m. I guess I could always take a nap until Connor gets here.

Yeah, I know I just had a three day nap but that can really tire a girl out.

I turned over and shut my eyes, hoping that when I woke up, Connor would be there, waiting for me to wake up. With a disappointed look on his face. He'd hate me. I tried to end my life and he was the one to find me. That must've been so horrible. No! Stop it! Go to sleep. He won't hate you.

I took a deep breath before somehow managing to fall into a deep slumber.
