Y/N
You woke up in the middle of the night, drenched in a cold sweat from another nightmare. You looked around your room in a panic, calming down after a few seconds. You removed your hair that was stuck to your face and wiped your forehead with the back of your hand as you mentally gagged at the feeling of your thin cotton pajama shirt being stuck to your body.
Your breath was still uneven and your chest felt painfully tight from your ragged breaths. You tried your best to calm yourself down by taking a few small breaths. You raised your hand to your rapidly beating heart that was doing a thousand miles per hour.
This is the third nightmare you've had this week and they're becoming more vivid each time which scares the living hell out of you. You let out a deep sigh as you ran a hand through your hair in frustration.
Once you get your breathing controlled, you lift up your covers and head to the bathroom to splash some cold water onto your face. You watch the water drip from your face as you look at yourself in the mirror and notice the dark circles forming under your eyes.
"Lovely." You mutter under your breath, drying your face and hands before heading into the kitchen for a cup of tea.
You turn the kettle on while placing a teabag into your favourite mug. Once the water has boiled, you pour it into your mug and add some milk before taking big sips.
You place a hand over your forehead, closing your eyes briefly before you open them up again and mentally groan as you see the time on the oven.
01:45
You swiftly pick up your phone from your marble counter top and call the person you needed to see the most.
Gavin.
You press his name on your phone screen and it immediately started to dial. You place your phone over your ear while it's ringing, praying that he'll answer quickly.
After a few more dials, you were ready to hang up, but a groggy voice stops you. "No, I didn't dye your hair blue?"
You try to stifle a laugh, but ended up letting out a small giggle. "Gavin, it's me."
He yawns before replying. "Hi, me."
"Is it okay if I can come over?" You ask cautiously, knowing that he was in deep slumber and that you woke him up from it.
"Yeah, of course you can. Is everything okay?" He immediately replied, sounding more serious and making your heart warm up from his concern.
"Yeah, everything is fine. I just can't sleep."
"Do you want me to come and pick you up? "You could practically hear the concern drip from his voice and you couldn't stop the smile form on your face.
"No, it's alright." You assure him, "I can drive to yours."
"If you're sure, but let me know if you need me to."
You smile even though he can't see it. "I will."
"Promise?"
"Cross my heart." You promise him. "Love you."
"Love you too and drive safe." He says before adding in. "And no drinking alcohol."
