Y/N
Lately, you've been feeling quite down. You don't exactly know how this feeling came about, but you just want it to pass already so you can go back to being you happy and cheery self.
You already know that everyone has their off days and you're having yours now, but you don't want it to affect how you feel right now.
You feel like you're used to putting up an act, not telling anyone how you really feel and just bottling everything up inside even though you know that's not a good thing to do.
You really want to tell Gavin how you have been feeling, but you don't want him to worry about you and you already have a feeling that he knows that there's something up.
You were currently sitting at your desk in your room that you share with Gavin, writing down notes for your next exam.
You didn't realise that Gavin was already in the room with you as you kept your mind busy with studying, but you realised when you heard a slow melody come from a guitar.
"What's wrong?" His voice echoed against the room walls which makes you jump from the sudden question. "Are you okay?"
You were contemplating whether or not you should answer, but you answer him anyway.
"Just a little tired, that's all."
"Y/N, you have been really quiet for the past few days." You hear him get up from the bed and walk up to you. "What's up?"
It'd be better if I just tell him.
"I've just been feeling a little down lately. I'm sure it'll pass soon enough."
His facial expressions soften immediately and he kneels down so he's the same height as you since you're sitting down.
"How long have you been feeling like this?"
"A few days." You mumble, not daring to look at him.
He furrows his eyebrows. "And you're now telling me?"
"I didn't want to worry you." You whisper, nervously biting your lip.
"I'm going to worry even more if you don't tell me what's wrong." He says softly, "Do you know what's gotten you down?"
"I feel disgusted with myself." You blurt out before you could stop yourself.
His eyes grow wide and you instantly start to regret that you had told him.
"Wait what? Why?" He asks, getting up off the floor.
"I don't know." You start, getting up from the chair. "Every time I look in the mirror, I just want to throw up at what I see."
He leans his forehead on yours. "Hey, you do not get to say these things about my girlfriend."
Instead of answering him, you look down at your hands and start to fidget with your fingers.
"I'm nothing like all the other models that you work with." "They're pretty and they have the perfect body."
He takes your hands and laces his fingers. "But it's not all about looks."
"I know, but you could easily have any girl in this world and sometimes I feel like you're stuck with me and that you don't notice me."
You look up at him and continue to ramble on, but he places a finger under your chin and lifts it up which makes you stop. You stare into his eyes as he whispers something to you.
"Y/N, you are perfect in your way and you know that. And yeah, I could have any girl in this, but I chose you because of how you are."
You feel yours eyes starting to tear up, but you blink back the tears so they don't fall in front of him.
"I love you for you. Yeah, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on, but that's not the only reason why I'm with you." He says softly as he gently rubs his thumb over your cheek.
"I'm with you because of how you treat other people even if they are complete strangers. You treat them like they're your own family."
You decide to let the tears fall freely as you let his words sink inside. He quickly wipes your tear away.
"And who said that I don't notice you and that I don't know everything about you?" He asks and you felt everything start to crumble inside.
"I know that your favourite colour is y/f/c, I know that you love cooking because you feel like a professional even though you know that you're not, but to me you are. I know that you want to have two kids, a girl and a boy. I know that you have your perfect wedding planned out, but you feel to shy to talk about it."
You sniffle slightly as you start to feel bad that you had doubted him in the first place.
"Gavin, I didn't-"
"I'm not done yet." He says, still leaving one of his fingers under your chin and his thumb on your cheek.
"I notice that you always pull your sleeves of your hoodie over your hands whenever you feel nervous, I notice that you smile widely whenever you feel excited over something, I notice that you bite your lip whenever you're focused on something, I notice that you twist your hair around your finger whenever you're thinking about something and I notice that you stay relatively quiet whenever you're upset about something."
You continue to stare up at him in awe, feeling incredibly grateful that you have him in your life.
"I notice everything about you." He whispers to you before capturing your lips with his.
Your heart pounded loud inside your chest as your knees begin to grow weak. You wrap your arms around his neck to stable yourself.
This moment brought you back to when you both had your first kiss in front of the carnival as the fireworks were let off behind the both of you.
You pull away first to catch your breath with your arms still around his neck and your face in between his hands.
"How do you know when to say the right things at the right time?" You ask him through a teary eye.
He shrugs his shoulders and says. "I don't know."
"I love you." You whisper up at him.
"I love you more."
