Vegeta's POV:-
Today I was making way to the backyard where Y/N was. Somehow and for a weird reason, I wasn't in the mood for training (This is a lot out of character, I know XD.). I haven't see Y/N ever since that day in Antarctica, she was training nonstop the past weeks that everybody was worried about her. Also and for an odd reason I have a bad feeling, like something was going to happen to her. When I made it to the backyard, I saw Y/N doing some light training. Ever since she came back, she was acting different. She was keeping her distance recently, I hope she's not hiding something from me.
"Y/N." I called her, she stopped her training and looked my way. She tilted her head as if asking 'what do you want?', I walked toward her, "Come with me." I stated and she looked at me as if I was crazy, "Where to?" She asked straightforwardly. "Is it bad for a father to spend some time with his daughter?" I answered with another question of my own. She gave me a thoughtful look then answered, "I assume there's nothing wrong with it, but why now of all times?" She answered and asked at the same time. What was I suppose to tell her? I have a bad feeling and I want to spend time with you because it might be the last time I may see you? Hell no! She will definitely reject my offer and walk away.
"I don't know, I just want to be with you for some time."
I was waiting for a sarcastic or hurtful comment from her, but she just shrugged and said, "Fine, give me time to change." With that she walked in to change her clothes. I'm not going to lie, but I was surprised that she simply agreed. I couldn't help but smile.
Time Skip:-
Me and Y/N were walking around the city, I decided to take her to the park for some relaxing time. I pointed at the bench, "Wait for me here, I will be back." She nodded and sat down. I went to the ice cream stand and ordered (Favorite Flavor) ice cream for her. I went back to her to see her looking at a family, mother, father, and their child. She was looking at them with blank expression, but I could see something shine in her eyes. She had tears in her eyes. I sighed and made my way to her, "Y/N." I called her, she looked at me and wiped her eyes quickly."Are you okay?"
"Yeah, just something got in my eyes."
She is a bad liar. "Here." I gave her the cone. She looked at it then at me, "What is this?" Y/N asked me with a tilt of her head while pointing at the ice cream cone, "This is ice cream, give it a try." I explained and she took it. She eyed the icy dessert and took a bit of it, "Wow, d-delicious." She whispered as she ate the ice cream. I smiled at the sight, it was... What Kakarot calls it?...Cute. Yes, she was cute. After she finished, she looked at me. I immediately wiped the smile and put on a neutral face, "Why don't you have one of those things...I don't know what is it called, I forgot?" She asked me, trying to remember the name.
"It's called ice scream and no I don't eat them. I'm not into sweets."
"You're a weirdo."
I chuckled, "Maybe..." I uttered and suddenly the feeling of guilt wash over me, "Y/N, I'm sorry." She looked at me with confusion, "What for?" She asked me. I sighed, "I'm sorry that I wasn't with you and your mother..." As I said that, she looked down while clenching her fists,"... I really thought that you both died in the explosion, I was depressed after I received the news." I told her as l looked up at the sky.
"So this means you didn't hate me or my mom?"
"I never hate you or your mother. For your mother, I was at that time only thinking of getting stronger. Love was the last thing I thought of. But you... I know I didn't raise nor I know a lot about you, but what I know is that I never hated you..." I inhaled and exhaled then looked at her, "...When I discoverd that you were training with Supreme Kais Supervisor and Lord Beerus, I was so proud. And when I saw your memories and how you survived such tournament, I knew without any doubt that you made me proud of you. You really are an honor to our race, you're a great warrior Y/N. I'm sure your mother and grandfather are proud of you as well. Y/N, you're my first cub, my daughter and will always be." I finished, putting my hand on her shoulder. She looked at me and opened her mouth, saying:
"I never hated you too, I just felt sorry that my mom died without seeing you. She always made me see you as a hero even though I knew what you were doing. I never saw you as my enemy, you're what left of my family. I..."
Just when she was about to finish her sentence, some drops of water fell on our heads. I looked up and saw the sky covered in gray clouds, when did the weather change? Just then, it started to rain hard. I pulled Y/N and ran to a nearby shelter, we found a bus station and we stood there. "What is this? Is the sky crying or what?" Y/N asked, extending her hand in the rain. "It's rain, it's coming from the dark clouds." I simply explained. "Rain? I have never seen such a thing." She muttered.
"What do you mean?"
"On planet Lirio, the weather was always nice and clear. We never had this rain thing."
After her explanation, I knew Y/N needed to be educated about the earthling stuff. I will ask Kakarot's elder brat to teach her somethings so she would be more modern. I looked beside me to tell her my decision, but I didn't find her. I looked around and even went back to the park and sure as hell I found her there. Y/N was jumping on the small water pools as she spun in circles and laugh. It was the first time I saw her so happy. I felt my heart skip a beat as I looked at her happy face.
"I will make sure this smile remains as long as I live." I muttered, not bothered by the pouring rain. Let's just when we got home, we hand an earful lecture from Bulma.
