I was awakened by my alarm going off in my ear. I reached over and tried to find my phone to turn it off but I just couldn't get my hand on it. Soon or later I found myself falling on the floor. I hit the floor with a hard thud then that's when my eye caught my phone under my bed. How in the world did it get there? I have no idea how my phone got there but i just shook it off and got up from the floor. I threw the duvet that fell off with me, back on the bed and walked into the bathroom. Just when I was about to open the door to my bathroom, my bedroom door was flung open and my mom ran in.
"Oh my gosh, honey are you okay? We heard a thud, is everything alright?" she asks looking around my room.
"Yeah i'm fine, i just fell out of my bed." I told her with a little laugh. I was still half asleep with a raspy voice and I just knew that I looked like crap too.
"Oh goodness sweetie, I thought you dropped dead or something." Mom said, being a bit too dramatic with her hand over her heart like I gave her a heart attack.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." I tell her
"No it's okay just be careful. Oh and i almost forgot, After school you need to get packed because we are taking you to the Knights house before we head to the airport. You get out of school at 3:00 and our flight is at 7:00 so that gives us time for you to pack and us to get to the airport on time." she said in the doorway of my room.
"Okay mom." I responded to her a bit annoyed. I'm not really a morning person so if you try and talk to me about something important like that early in the morning, I'm just going to forget it later. Mom walked out of my room and left me to get ready for school.
I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, watched my face and put on very little makeup. After that I walked out of the bathroom and into my closet. I didn't really feel like dressing nice today so i just went with a pair of jeans and a grey hoodie sweatshirt. I also decided to put my hair up into a little less of a messy bun. Therefore it's not full on messy but it's not like a neat either... if that makes any sense.
Once I was dressed I grabbed my phone and backpack and walked down the stairs. When I reached the bottom of the stairs I saw the suitcases by the door.
Mom made french toast again. I don't know what I'm going to do without her french toast every morning to wake up. I will surely miss that. I hope they won't have to stay any longer than a week.
After I finished eating I bid my goodbyes to my parents and headed towards the front door. I grabbed my skateboard and opened the door. I was skating down the sidewalk just looking around because I still don't have an iPod, I just don't have the money for a new one right now so that means that I can't listen to my music. I had gotten to the school and locked my skateboard to the bike rack and walked through those big double doors of this jail. I walked over to my locker to get some books out for Physics and Calc classes when Max walked up to me.
"Hey Tate, how are you doing?" she asked me. I know that i don't really know her too well yet, but her asking how i am doing seems a bit out of character for her.
"I'm doing good, how are you doing?" I ask her
"I'm doing as well as I can being in this hellhole of a school." she said and rolled her eyes. I laughed at her comment.
"So the other guys told me to ask you because apparently I don't have enough social skills but um, we are all going to the skate park today after school, would you like to come along? I can give you a ride if you need one. We are going at like 4:30ish because River has something to do before." She says leaning up against the lockers.
"Uh, yeah of course, I would love to come! I can meet y'all there because i actually have something to do after school as well." I tell her
"Oh okay great, i'll let the rest of them know right now." She pulled out her phone and her thumbs started flying across the screen. I guess she was texting the rest of the group.
