Mia POV
"So want to help me with the float?" Tyler asked as he was assigned the designer for our history class. He wanted to do the battle of willow creek which seemed like a fun topic.
"Sure." I followed him outside as there was floats already half built but we have to finish it up and design it. "So you're gonna be a soldier huh?"
"Yup. Fake blood and all."
I smiled at him as I grabbed a cinderblock. "What are you doing? You sure you can carry it?"
"It's not heavy." I shrugged and we started placing the blocks to put wheels on the float. Other students were helping us and putting designs and painting so it was pretty fun.
I was painting the wood when I heard a scream of pain. I turned to see the float on Matt's arm and widened my eyes. My uncle immediately helped and I turned to see Elena arguing with a woman, but she was a vampire.
I stormed over to them, "Leave now."
"And you're baby Salvatore huh? Katherine mentioned you."
"Oh a friend of Katherines? You mean a loose end she needs for her dirty work." I smirked as she narrowed her eyes at me. "Leave."
"No cherie," she said as a girl stormed over to her side to hiss at me. I pulled Elena closer and I could smell her fear. "I wouldn't hurt my darling daughter."
"You're Isobel?" She smirked and nodded. "Oh well in that case." I slapped her hard across the face and she gasped.
"Mia!" Elena scolded but I shrugged.
"Remember Elena. Remember who's next if I don't get the device. And Mia? I'll remember the slap."
"Take a picture before the pink leaves your cheek, bitch." Her little minion growled at me and I waited for her to do something, but they all vanished.
"You shouldn't provoke her! She's threatened Jeremy! She's hurt Matt. We need to give her the device or someone else will get hurt, Mia."
I just stared at her, wondering how she didn't get exhausted from talking so much. "Elena, do me a favor? Shut up. We'll handle her."
I walked off and went back to the float but Tyler had taken Matt to the hospital. I finished my part and decided to come back later to finish the float since tomorrow was the parade.
The day went with Elena handing over the device since Bonnie had despelled it and it wouldn't work. I was helping Caroline with her dress, missing this style of the 1800s.
"And for the finishing touch." I handed her the Miss Mystic slash and she put it on. "Let's get going." I drove us to the parade and she left to go get on the float with Matt.
I saw my dad arguing with Jeremy and I widened my eyes when I saw him grip his arm. I stormed over to them, ripping my dads grip off Jeremy. "Leave him alone, Damon."
It felt weird calling my dad his real name but Jeremy didn't know he was my father. I know the reason he was mad, Elena was caught over the fact she had my dad compel Jeremy to forget Vicki. He doesn't like that Jeremy's being mean to poor innocent Elena, even though she deserves it.
"Jeremy? Walk with me." I took his arm and we left my dads sight as I walked him to where the floats were. "Are you okay?"
"I can't explain what happened with Elena, but she just did something bad." I felt bad I couldn't fess up about being a vampire and knowing what happened, but Jeremy would know when the time was right. "I just don't want to talk to her."
