After a bunch of work jaune thought one thing 'I need a proper office'

"As he retired to his quarters he found akira waiting for him on the bed in the most revealing thing she could find

"What's the occasion that your spoiling me" I asked she smiled before growing serious

"Can we talk for a minute like a serious conversation" she said

"Of course anything" I said

"I'm scared" she said this worried him as he moved towards laying his hand on her side

"What's wrong" I asked

"This whole scenario" she said this confused me

"You have been placed in a position where we won't be able to have a family" she said and I burst out laughing

"In sorry truly but I was thinking the exact opposite this is a perfect opportunity to have a family so long as I don't screw up like the chief did and it is way better then our previous life where we are both sticking our necks out going on missions we could die on here we are hopelessly overpowered and no one could go against us if we have to we can literally live on the reliant no one could touch us or our children" I explained

"But that's just it I was thinking we could both retire from service and have a family together" akira said

"Honey no offense but I don't think you know me very well I doubt I would ever retire no matter how many citations I receive" I said

"So you wouldn't do it for us" she asked

"Your asking me to choose my dream or my family" I asked now getting slightly angry she knew my past and why I was so devoted and she wanted me to give that up

"No of course not I would never ask that" she said

"Then what do you mean" I asked

"I hoped you would take a break" she said

"An eighteen year break if not longer depending" I asked

"Yes" she said

"That is letting people die because I want to be selfish I couldn't wouldn't do that to anyone ever" I said

"so you would pick your job over me" she said

"I sacrificed my happiness to make sure you were sage coming back to this god forsaken planet where who knows what would happen and you have the gall to ask me that" I shouted then I turned to the door

"Were done" I said removing my ring slamming it on the dresser before leaving the room as I was walking I ran into a random crewman

"Hey" I said

"Sir" he asked

"Where you heading" I asked

"The bridge sir" he said

"Good Tell commander todo she has command" I said as I continued on my way I got into my fighter much to the protests of the mechanics but honestly I was not in the mood right now as I launched I turned towards one particular ship

"Arc to the andromeda" I said opening a channel

"Go ahead admiral" yamanami said

"Permission to come aboard" I asked

"Permission is of course granted" yamanami said but he was hopelessly confused once on board I turned to the captain himself

"I need a room for the night do you have empty quarters" I asked

"Of course he will show you" osamu said gesturing towards a crewman who saluted and I followed him

<akira POV>

A second after i calmed down from what he said I realized exactly what I had done and raised to the bridge

"Has anyone seen the captain" I asked

"That's his fighter" saki said as she was looking out the view hatch as I saw it I collapsed to my knees

"What did you do" saki asked

"I may have said things I regret" I said

"How much" saki said

"He called off our engagement" I said tears flowing freely down my face

"What happened" saki asked

"I was upset he took this position as admiral of the fleet since it means he can't step down he told me he wouldn't anyway even if he had the choice and I said that he wouldn't even do it for us he got upset saying that i basically told to pick me or his dream" I said and pyrrha who was still on the bridge learning the trade looked furious as she stomped over to me she picked me up by my collar

"Do you realize how much he scraped and clawed and fought for his dream I have learned much about this ship this was a dream come true for him and you want to take him away from that your no different then his family who held him down" pyrrha said as she threw her back on the ground

"I just wanted a normal family that won't have the problems saki had" I said

"Jaune would have given you that he keeps his promises and will do anything for his friends but to be told pick between something he has fought for and been bullied for or his love life I'm not surprised he stormed off" pyrrha said I turned to saki

"I have sympathy for you but I just got jaune I doubt my voice would hold much wait" saki said I turned to kei

"Your mess you clean it up you have been in a relationship with him the longest" kei said I didn't even bother to look at pyrrha she was right

"Our relationship was perfect we never fought and we were always together and then I had to be selfish" I said

"He has to return at some point use that to your advantage" saki said I nodded
