Y/N's P.O.V.

I was nervous about leaving my room, knowing for sure someone was going to say something, but Loki was surprisingly supportive before he left.
He reminded me that I had two choices; to hide away all day, or to confront the truth.
He also threatened to stab anyone that made fun of me, which was strangely reassuring.

"Hey..." Nat smiled at me as I moved onto the living room, seeing the people scattered around the room. Vision and Wanda were sat together on one of the couches, Loki on another, whilst Nat and Clint were sat at the table.
I gave the woman a small smile, before moving towards the couches. I sat down on the same couch Loki was on, the trickster giving me a small smile.

"I'm glad you took my advice." He spoke quietly and I opened my book, trying to hide the smile on my face.
The elevator opened suddenly and I looked up to see Tony and Peter getting out of the elevator.

"Y/N!" Peter immediately came over to me and I bookmarked the page, looking at the boy.
"Are you okay? Mr. Stark said you got upset after you got caught in a prank that was for Mr. Loki."

"I'm fine, Peter." I sighed, before turning my head at Tony and glaring at him.

"So, Icicle, you wanna explain a couple of things to us?" Tony asked, causing me to slump back down into my seat.
"I mean, you lied to us about everything, so if you want us to trust you-"

"Tony, shut up." Nat sighed.

"She'll tell us if she wants to tell us." Wanda agreed, giving me a small smile.

"What is this? Boys vs girls?" Tony scoffed.
"Vision, Clint?"

"They're right." Vision replied simply and I mouthed a quick 'thank you' to him.
"Y/N will tell us her past if she feels it's necessary."

"Clint?" Tony asked hopefully.

"I'm not disagreeing with Nat. She will kill me. I'm curious, but they're right." Clint mumbled and I noticed the smirk on Loki's face, seconds before there was a crash and I turned to see Tony had fallen over on what appeared to be a patch of ice.
The next hour or so passed quietly with Tony leaving and Peter doing his homework, occasionally getting my attention to help with a question.

"No, that's wrong." Clint spoke up on one of my answers to Peter's homework questions.
He was doing a research project for his history class and he asked me to help, but Clint seemed to think my information was wrong.

"Yeah? Why'd you think that?" I asked, hiding my smirk.

"Because it's just not true." Clint shrugged.
"In the first World War you had to be 18 to join-"

"People lied, Clint." I deadpanned.

"How would you know?" He shot back and I rolled my eyes.

"I was there. Kids as young as 12 lied and joined the war." I shook my head.
"They were just trying to prove themselves to their families."

"You were there?" Nat asked and I sighed.

"In 1914?" Peter looked at me with wide eyes.
"You were there? How?"

"Lady Y/N is over 1000 years old." Loki spoke, not looking up from his book.
"And she has spent most of her life here on Earth."

"Really?" Wanda asked and I nodded my head.

"Woah. That's actually so cool." Peter grinned.
"So, like, you're really old?" I glared at Peter as the others laughed.

"Shut up and get your homework done." He grinned at me, before looking back down at his work.

I walked into the library and immediately pulled a face when I saw the fireplace lit. I was the only person who ever really came up to the library and I certainly never lit the fireplace.
Occasionally, I'd find Bruce up here researching something, or Clint would talk to me from the vents when he was bored. I was 90% sure Tony didn't even know that the library existed and I wasn't sure about the others.
I raised my hand, putting out the fire in an instant, just as Bruce turned the corner.

"Y/N, hey." He spoke.
"I thought I heard someone come in. Why'd you put the fire out? It's freezing in here."

"Yeah, I know. It's nice." I shrugged and he shook his head.

"Can you help me? I can't find a couple of books." He admitted sheepishly.
"And you're up here a lot more than I am." I nodded and he handed me a small list of books. They were all over the place and I didn't feel like running around to get them, so I waved my hand and one by one a book appeared in Bruce's arms.
"Thanks." He muttered with wide eyes.

"Anytime." He shuffled towards the elevator, taking his books with him. I had barely sat down with my own book when someone else walked into the library.

"I know why I recognised you." Loki spoke suddenly and I placed the book down in my lap, looking at him expectantly.
"In Asgard, you came to the palace for both mine and Thor's birthday galas. You came almost every year and then you stopped coming for a couple of years. But then, you showed up for mine. We danced." There was a soft smile on his face.
"After that night, I never saw you again."

"That's because the night we danced was the night I ran away." I replied calmly.
"Yes, I went to all the birthday galas for you and your brother, it was my duty as a child of such a high up family. But then my so called family found out I wasn't Asgardian. I wasn't allowed to leave the Hell they called a home. Not even for royal galas." I sighed, trailing my fingers over the cover of my book.
"Yes, we did dance, although I probably shouldn't have gone to the party, considering they were there, but... I don't know. Something made me want to say goodbye, in a way."

"You were an excellent dancer." Loki complimented.
"The best I danced with all night. I was quite irritated when I tried to find you for one last dance and you were gone."

"I do apologise." I smirked a little and he held out his hand.
"No."

"Why not?" He asked, not moving his hand away.
"I never found a dancing partner as good as you were."

"I'm out of practice." I shook my head, but he didn't move his hand. After a couple of seconds, I gave in, knowing that he was stubborn and I wouldn't win even if I wanted to.
I moved the book off of my lap, before taking his hand and letting him pull me to my feet.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." I mumbled as we moved over to an empty space.

"You're not one for formalities are you, darling?" He asked and I looked at him in confusion.
"If this was Asgard, you'd be in a lot of trouble for not as addressing me by my title."

"Oh, I am sorry, my prince." I spoke keeping serious and holding eye contact as danced slowly. It didn't matter that there was no music, we both seemed to know what we were doing.
I leaned forward slightly.
"But we're not in Asgard, are we?" I whispered, causing him to smirk.
