Y/N's P.O.V.

"So we've successfully pissed off every Avenger and even a few guests. This was fun." I smiled at the glass of Asgardian wine Loki had used his magic to retrieve. It was nice to have the little taste of home and it was even nicer to feel the buzz that came with getting slightly tipsy.
We had been at the party for a few hours and although some of the guests had left, quite a few people still remained.

"It has been fun, hasn't it?" Loki asked, standing up from his seat next to me at the small table.
"You know what would make it better?" He offered me his hand.
"Would you like to dance, my lady?" I glanced over at the dance floor, seeing a few people dancing to the soft music.

"I would."I nodded my head, accepting his hand and letting him lead me over to the dance floor. Just like the other day in the library, we began to dance. However, this time it was much better. It felt right. The music and the other people dancing, everything felt strangely perfect.
"Thank you, Loki."

"It's just a dance, my lady. No need to thank me." He smirked lazily and I rolled my eyes.

"Not just for the dance. For tonight as a whole. I've really enjoyed it." I smiled at him and he nodded his head.

"Me too." Loki replied softly as we continued to dance. We stayed together for multiple songs, before we were rudely interrupted.

"Hey, let's swap." Tony spoke suddenly, Pepper glaring at him as Loki let go of me and awkwardly began to dance with the CEO.
"Hi, Y/N. What are you doing?"

"I think you've had too much to drink, Stark. You asked me that question earlier." I reminded as I danced stiffly. Of course I had to go and jinx it. Everything was going so well.

"No. I know that. But I'm asking it in a different context now. What are you doing dancing with Reindeer Games? You've been with him all night, I actually haven't seen you two move more than a meter apart." I rolled my eyes at his stupid question.
"And you're looking at him with these innocent puppy dog eyes-"

"I was dancing with him because he's good at it, unlike some." I stepped back away from him.
"Why does it matter to you?" I turned and walked away, but Tony reached out to stop me, but as soon as his hand touched my skin, he winced in pain. I couldn't find it in me to care, moving back towards the balcony, needing a breather.

"Lady Y/N?" I kept my eyes trained on the city lights, before I felt something lightly brush my shoulders and I looked to see Loki had draped his suit jacket over me.
"What did he say to you?"

"Nothing. He was just being a... it's not important." I shook my head, putting my arms into the jacket and pulling it around me. Just because I was indifferent about hurting Tony didn't mean I wanted to hurt anyone else.

"You know, everyone is right. You really do look beautiful tonight." Loki muttered, standing next to me.

"What can I say? I look good in your colour." I joked, looking at him. He was watching me with a soft smile, his eyes filled with an emotion I didn't quite recognise.

"Maybe we should get back inside. It's getting late." Loki advised, taking my hand in his and stepping towards the doors. I stopped him, smiling slightly

"Stay with me out here for just a few more minutes?" I asked hopefully and he nodded his head, moving to my side and keeping our hands joined.
"Did you mean what you said earlier?"

"Which part, darling? I don't know if you've noticed, but I tend to talk a lot." He replied smoothly and I leaned my head against his shoulder.

"When you said I wouldn't have to face my family alone. Did you mean it?" I asked, still looking at the nighttime scenery.

"Of course I did." Everything fell quiet for a few moments between us, the only sounds being the New York traffic and the party right behind us.
I looked at Loki, just admiring all the flaws he didn't have, when he looked at me and our eyes locked.
We both seemed to lean in slightly and Loki's free hand slipped under his jacket, landing on my waist. I let go of his hand and he gently lifted up my chin, before his lips connected with mine. It wasn't my first time kissing someone, but it was my first time kissing someone and it felt like that. Like pure electricity. It was addictive and sweet, but it also felt like an explosion, like a million fireworks going off at once. It was, for lack of better words, perfect.

"Wow." Loki muttered, breaking the kiss and looking at me. I didn't have to question it, I knew he felt it too.

"Stop looking so happy." I mumbled, seeing the smile on his face.
"It's indecent." I pulled at his tie, connecting our lips once again.
