Glossary and Pronunciation Guide:

Aphrodite: The Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty, pronounced AFF-ro-DITE-ee

Icarus: In reality, Icarus should have taken his name to Hermes, Greek God of Flight and Passage, my character took the name Icarus to be humble, and he felt that it suited him better. Pronounced IK-a-rus, Hermes is pronounced HER-meez

Hypnos: The Greek God and Sleep and Trance, pronounced HIP-noss

Chronos: The Greek Personification of Time, less a God and therefore non-gender-specific. Pronounced KRO-nus

Eris: The Greek Goddess of Chaos, Discord and Strife, pronounced AIR-iss

Charon: The Carrier to the Underworld, Charon crossed the Rivers Styx and Acheron, as a ferryman. Pronounced CA-ron

Thanatos: Greek God of Peaceful Death, in mythology he is a half-sibling to Hypnos, so I made sure to include an intuitive connection between them, even if my characters were not related. Pronounced THAN-a-toss

The Keres: Pronounced CARE-aiss, they were the Greek Spirits of Violent Death, and, in my eyes, that made them perfect for the siblings of Thanatos, Janus and Eris.

Eos: The Greek Goddess of Dawn, pronounced EE-oss. My Eos is a boy, but nowhere in this book does it mention the gender-continuity between incarnations.
