The sun trickled through the slightly open blinds of the cozy bedroom, where a sleeping blonde girl lay on the king sized bed next to her loving boyfriend of 8 years. Max - a young lad about 24 years old with brown hair that fell effortlessly on his forehead, chocolate coloured eyes that shimmered in the moonlight, a chiseled jawline that was straighter than a ruler, developing abs that fitted perfectly on his olive tanned body and a signature hat that he never forgets to put on - turned to his side checking the time on his phone.

Max smiled as he looked through the messages and notifications he received from his family and friends wishing him and his girlfriend, Kera, a happy anniversary. Being the thoughtful lad he is, Max had planned an amazing date that night in hope that Kera would enjoy herself after the awful year of 2020. Losing her big sister to a car crash caused a lot of damage to the girl and it destroyed her inside. The thought of Kera ever being upset made Max feel worthless about himself, the only thing he could think of doing was taking her away from the pain for a couple hours - 'let's hope it works.'

Pushing the thoughts of the past out of his head, Max looked to his right to see his girlfriends sleeping figure next to him, a small smile played on his lips as he got out of bed and headed to the shower.

The heat of the shower steamed up the mirror quickly as the water ran down his body. Droplets falling from the tip of his hair, he stood there for a couple minutes fiddling with the lid of the shampoo bottle trying hard to get it open. Finally hearing the pop of the cap, he sighed, muttering inaudible words under his breath. The deep pink, see through gel lathered his hands, soon stopping when he had enough to thoroughly wash his hair. Strawberry fragrance filled the room as Max let the shampoo sit in his hair for a few minutes, meanwhile, covering his body in body wash. The bathroom smelt like raspberries and strawberries when Max was finished. He wrapped a towel around his waist as he picked up his pyjama joggers and boxers, throwing them in the wash basket.

The young lad looked around the bedroom finding his girlfriend still asleep. He quietly opened their wardrobe and pulled out a supreme white shirt and some skinny black jeans. Max put on one of his hats and slowly unlocked the bedroom door to walk down the staircase.

Max's first stop was to pop into town to get the gift he ordered online a few days ago. He slipped on his white converse trainers and got in his car to drive to his destination, only arriving 10 minutes later.

The wooden shop door opened with a jingle of the bell, the smell of coffee and wood filled Max's nose as he strode through the room, reaching the counter where a young man was standing patiently.

'Hi, I'm Max Mills. I have come to collect a gift I ordered a few days ago.'

'Certainly, would you mind just signing this form please and I will get it for you right now.'

Max nodded and signed his signature, putting the pen down and waiting for the shopkeeper to arrive back at the counter. It only took a few more seconds until the shopkeeper came back with a small box inside a gift bag, wrapped in a white bow.

'Here you are sir. That will be £45.59 please.'

Max handed the shopkeeper the money and received his change, heading out the shop and back to the car to go to his next destination.
