×NO POV×

"And that's why we add hydrochloric acid before we put the magnesium in." Miss Daniel - Emily's chemistry teacher - speaks over the mic. Class is just about to end, the presentation coming to a close. Emily is sitting, criss-cross, on her double bed, a cozy blanket covering her. She stares aimlessly at the screen in front of her, wishing for online classes to be over. She loves school, online or not, but not when she has a headache that doesn't go away - even with tablets - and an upset tummy. Sweat glistens on her forehead, face beginning to turn pale. "Okay class, I think that will be all for today." Her palms begin to sweat as she sways from side to side. "Make sure to submit your work in before going to lunch - I would like to mark you tests." Just a few more seconds and this will all be over. "Thank you. Have a lovely Tuesday."

Finally

Emily leaves the call, exhaling deeply. Leo walks into the room, seeing his girlfriend's head in her hands. "Emily? Are you okay?" Leo panics, closing the door behind him and kneeling down in front of the bed. "Hey, look at me." He whispers soothingly, lifting up her chin and brushing away her auburn coloured hair. Her once hazel eyes had gotten darker, her cheeks have lost their natural colour and her lips look dry.

"Leo..." Emily whines. "I feel sick." She states.

"Does anything hurt?" Leo asks, now sitting next to her and rubbing her back comfortingly.

"I got a headache and I feel like throwing up. I also feel light headed and hot." She pouts, unable to talk too much in fear she will puke all over him.

"How long have you're been feeling like this?"

"Since the lesson started... fifty minutes ago..." She looks up into his gorgeous eyes, sympathy laced in every bit of his face.

"Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped you! I could've told the teacher you weren't feeling well and needed to rest!"

"I know, I know. I just didn't want to disturb you." Her eyes fell to the ground. "I'm sorry." She mumbles. Leo exhales, lightly squeezing his one true love.

"It's okay. I'll let the teachers know you feel sick and will need some time off. Let's go get you something to eat and all snuggled up." Emily nods slowly, laying her head on his chest. In that moment, Leo mentally promises himself to never let her go. He needs her as much as she needs him.

They were made for each other.
