Hopefully there are no errors
It had only been about fifteen minutes since everyone arrived and I was already sneaking glances with Yoongi and Hoseok. A tingling sensation had formed along my hand; it was practically begging for me to pull out my gun and shoot.
"Not yet, Jeon."
I scoffed at the sound of Seokjin's voice again."They're here. We should just get this over as quickly as possible and get the hell out so we can continue what we're actually supposed to be working on right now."
I could imagine Seokjin rolling his eyes. "Do you think you're smarter than me? I'm older than you! I have more experience! I'm the one telling you not to do anything! You damn brat."
I grunted and shook my head. A part of me knew he was right. We had to wait longer so that everyone at the party thought that it was just a normal party. Then we could hit them when they least expected it.
The other part of me completely disagreed. We had been sidetracked by this damn gang. It would've been better to just wait until everyone was in, wait just a couple minutes, kill them all, remove evidence before police came, sneak out into the alleyways, and immediately carry out our original task.
Though, some part of me knew that the first option had a higher chance for success. But, like most plans, there was a limit to how well it would work.
If we waited too long, the gang would have a longer opportunity to possibly figure out what was going on- if they didn't already know. Or another possibility would be that they would begin to leave the party quicker than we had originally planned. If that happened, there would be witnesses. Those witnesses always had a chance to recognize one of us.
Seokjin groaned. "Go get a drink, Jeon. Go and smoke for all I care. Just act normal. Stop just standing there. You'll draw attention to yourself if you keep eyeing everyone down."
Unfortunately Seokjin was right. I subconsciously knew that Seokjin was right most of the time- if not all the time, but of course I would never admit that. Of course I didn't want to mingle with people who were part of a gang and thought that they were beyond badass, but I didn't have much of a choice.
I glanced back towards Hoseok. It was his job to stand back and wait until things went down. The gang knew him, so we couldn't expose him unless we wanted to out ourselves. No doubt the gang would connect the dots if they saw Hoseok.
So, Yoongi and I made our way towards the bulk of the crowd downstairs while Hoseok stayed alone and chatted with a group of our allies. I couldn't help but continue to glance around at everyone. I recognized some faces as ours who were already having a good time mixing with the gang and acting natural. The overall vibe told me that the gang had no clue about our plans, but it was hard for me to ignore the outline of guns under some of the gang members' shirts. Despite what the room read, there was always the possibility that the gang knew of our plans.
I dismissed the thought, knowing that it would only make me want to get to the action sooner rather than later, and made my way over to the bar. I was craving alcohol as a source to make myself calm down.
I sat at a bar stool a few seats away from a group of gang members that were aggressively drinking shot after shot. I went easy and chose to stick with some wine. It didn't take long for Yoongi to show up. After a solid half minute of thinking, he settled with a large glass of beer.
I leaned back and looked over at Yoongi. "How long are we planning on waiting?"
Yoongi drank half of the beer in the glass immediately before he replied. "Like I'd know. I'd rather not wait long, though."
