Time flew by and it was dark before we even realized it. Every moment proved to be the closest thing to heaven that I was ever going to get; each touch proving to be something completely new for me.
There were plenty of kisses and tight hugs, all of which I quickly learned to appreciate. Jimin absolutely loved affection, so I quickly realized that I would have to give him lots of attention.
"Are those clouds? I can't tell."
I followed his gaze up to the sky. Those were definitely clouds. Very dark clouds.
I could smell the rain coming as the air dampened. The waves quickly shifted from peaceful to threatening as wind picked up. Shit.
Being with Jimin had made me feel completely normal. I forgot about my job, my house, my brother, my boss, and my plan.
We should have already left. I knew that it was already raining hard back at my house.
I quickly lifted Jimin off of the ground with me and hurried him over to the car. There was no way in hell I was about to get stuck on a beach in the middle of a storm.
"Jungkook! What the hell are you doing?" Thankfully, his giggles softened the air around us.
"I forgot how terrible the weather was supposed to get tonight." Of course I knew.
"How bad will it get?"
I shrugged. "I'm not sure. I just know that we're definitely not safe on the beach, and we're probably not much safer in the car."
I hurried Jimin into the car and ran to the other side. I quickly slid into the driver's seat before speedily taking off, which made Jimin more than a little nervous. Some people just couldn't handle speed.
"S-so it's supposed to be really bad."
"Yes." He didn't say anything after that, so I continued. "I'm going to take you back to my place so you can get your stuff. We'll see how bad it is by then and then you can decide if it's safe enough for me to drive you to your place. Sound good?" Obviously it wasn't going to be safe enough, but I already knew that ahead of time.
Jimin nodded hesitantly. "Well judging by how fast you're driving, the storm must be bad."
I let out a short chuckle. "You got that right."
I always drove fast- usually because I had to, but it was also just a part of who I was. I liked to speed past life without stopping to think about what I was doing.
In fact, I only slowed down for Jimin. Without Jimin, I would've killed at least an extra ten people. But I couldn't risk any extra attention when I had an actual relationship to protect.
We were only a few minutes into driving when all hell broke out. Lightning shot through the sky, brightening it up like a spotlight for a full second. Thunder followed, threatening to send lamp posts crashing down onto the streets. A strong vibration shot through the car seats, releasing a heavy rumble throughout the car.
Jimin tensed and straightened himself up in his seat. "Holy shit."
I took a deep breath and focused on driving faster. But of course there had to be a problem.
Rain poured relentlessly, blinding me as I drove. I would have to slow down.
But the good news was that we were close to the house. It took much less time when I took little shortcuts while also speeding.
As soon as I got away from the stoplights of the city, I pressed down hard on the gas again until I could see the outline of my house with the lights barely visible. I slowed down, carefully trying to figure out where the hell my turn was. I was completely blinded, but I went with my instincts and turned. Luckily for me, my instincts were right- just like usual.
I pulled up to the mansion, a wave of victory washing over me instantly. I made it with Jimin and I both still in tact.
Jimin let out a long sigh. "Are you sure it's safe enough for you to drive me back? You're going to get into a crash or get turned around or even worse."
I took the opportunity to promote my plan. "If you want my opinion, I think you should stay for tonight. I know you already spent one night here, and I know it's been a really rough few days with what happened, but I think it would be a lot safer for both of us if we stayed here."
"I don't want to intrude or anything-"
"Intrude? Baby trust me, you aren't-"
"Did you just call me baby?"
I paused and thought back for a second. "No...?"
"Yes you did."
I pursed my lips. "Well I-I uh... I mean it makes sense."
He arched an eyebrow and smiled, but his voice was a little cheeky. "Oh really? How does that make sense?"
I cleared my throat and stared at him. "Well earlier you couldn't even walk- just like a little baby, isn't that right?" I continued. "You're so cute, sweet, innocent, and you steal the whole room as soon as you walk in. You're so so beautif-"
He covered his mouth and bursted out laughing. "Jungkook! I- oh my god, I don't care what you call me."
I felt a small heat rise to my cheeks. "O-oh... really?"
"Yes." He paused and looked at me with his chin resting on his small hand. "As long as I get to call you Jungkookie."
"I- well I-"
He interrupted with a loud gasp. "Or just Kookie! That's so adorable! Like a cookie? The food?"
I blinked slowly and stared at him with my jaw slightly dropped. Kookie? It sounded way too cute for someone who murdered people.
"Fine. You can call me whatever you want, baby." But whatever was going to make him happy, I would go along with.
Jimin smiled cutely, barely acknowledging how I had called him baby again. "Really? Awwh~"
I smiled and leaned towards him. He quickly met me in the middle and gave me a sweet kiss on the lips.
I instantly smirked. Kissing him would be my new favorite hobby. Could that be a hobby? It was now.
"So are we just going to stay in the car for the rest of the night?"
"Oh, right."
Hopefully there was still a lot more left to the night. I was going to need at least two dozen more kisses before I would be able to sleep comfortably.
Remember that one time when I started a new story because of the quarantine
Well my commitment with stories is almost as bad as my commitment with relationships :')
