Ally pov
Leandro and I drive around the town for a while, making sure the cops aren't following us. Eventually, we get back to the gang house. Morgan, Antonio, and Angelo are already back. They're sitting around the kitchen table going over tonight. Leandro and I join them and sit for a while.
After a while of sitting and talking, Morgan and I have to go back to the dorms. Leandro gives us a ride back. We walk back up to Morgan and Abbi's room.
As we walk back into her dorm, I realize that there are people who aren't normally here sitting in the room. I go over and sit by Abbi on her bed. I study the guy sitting on Morgan's bed. He's talking with Abbi and Cady. I glance back over to see Morgan standing in the doorway. She's glancing around the room trying to figure something out. I get confused for a second, until I realize that she doesn't want to sit next to whoever the new guy is.
"Hey! Move your flat ass off her bed!" I almost yell at him. He gets up and quickly moves over to where Cady is sitting on the floor. As he moves, I see that he actually has a flat ass.
"How did you know he has no ass?" Abbi leans over and whispers to me.
"Lucky guess," I whisper back.
Morgan sits on her bed and watches the room.
I ask the guy who he is. As it turns out, he and Cady are dating. His name is Kyle, and they met at a club.
We talk for a while. I've decided I don't like Kyle. He bugs me for some reason that I can't figure out. From the looks I'm getting from Morgan, she doesn't like him either. We sit and play nice for a while, but as soon as he leaves with Cady, I turn over to the other two.
"I don't like him," Morgan blurts.
"Me either," Abbi and I say together. Ok. We're all in agreement. The three of us talk for a bit, but eventually I head back to my dorm. I'll see Morgan in the morning. We're going over to the gang house to hang out and have a meeting.***
The next morning, Morgan and I wake up and I drive us over to the gang house. I haven't had to drive in a while, the boys are always taking us places. We pull up to the house and park next to the curb. For being disguised as a frat house, it's huge. There are three floors above ground, and a basement.
We walk into the building and nobody is there to greet us. Normally there are people milling around the entryway or living room. We kick off our shoes and hang up coats, then walk into the house.
"I'm hungry," I say. I walk into the kitchen that's attached to the living room and start rummaging through things. I find all the ingredients to make pancakes and eggs. I start to dig around for pans and bowls while Morgan sits on the counter behind me. While I'm doing that, I start to hear talking upstairs.
"I think that's Ron!" Morgan hops off the counter and walks out of the room to find him. A few seconds later I hear her yell "Ron!" And I know she's found him. I don't think they’ve talked in a while. Not since the self defense class.
I can't hear his response, but she stays up there with him for a while. While she's up there, Leandro walks downstairs and joins me in the kitchen.
"What are you making?" He asks, walking up beside me.
"Eggs and pancakes," I point to where the carton on eggs is sitting. "Start cracking those."
He nods and starts cracking eggs into the bowl. Once he has about a dozen in there (I am cooking for the whole house), I nod my head at the fridge.
"Now add some milk."
He shakes his head but listens. "I do know how to make eggs," he mutters. Then without prompting he starts to beat the eggs.
I wish he'd beat me like that I think. My eyes widen at my own thought. "No!" I yell out loud. Just as I yell, Morgan and Ron join us in the kitchen.
I look over at Leandro, who is staring at me with the bowl of eggs in hand. "No, you're fine," I say. In response to Morgan's raised eyebrows I say, "I'll tell you later." She nods her head and hops back onto the counter. Ron goes and stands next to her. They continue talking as I finally get the pancakes started. I look over at Leandro to make sure he's still doing fine with the eggs. To my surprise, he's adding seasonings into them.
"Oh, so you can cook!" I say. He starts to reply when the stove suddenly starts to get really hot. I look down to see the pancake I was making on fire. "Shit!" I yell.
Intrusive thoughts are a bitch, and when I started putting the fire out, all I could think was I set fire to the kitchen! Like that one song. Once the flames were under control, I couldn't take it anymore. I looked at Leandro and started to sing. "I set fire to the kitchen! Watched it burn as I touched your face!" I reached up and put my hand on his cheek. His face flushed as he stepped back.
"Ally, what the hell?" Morgan said from behind me.
"What? It just kind of popped into my head!" I tried to defend myself.
"Why did you grab his face?" She asked.
I look over to see Leandro, still bright red, looking at the floor.
"Oh. It just kind of happened." I felt my face turn red as I turned back to the stove and started cooking a new pancake.
Some time while we were cooking, Ron and Morgan left the kitchen. They were sitting in the living room talking with someone. I think it was Angelo, by the sound of the voice. Leandro and I finish cooking and get ourselves food. We start to walk out to the living room and another intrusive thought hits. Slap his ass. Like football players! Before I can comprehend what I'm doing, there is a loud clapping sound. Leandro stops and stands still in the doorway. Angelo looks up from where he is sitting next to Morgan with a slight smirk on his face.
"Sorry!" I screech. "I didn't mean to do that!" I hurry over and sit on the other side of Morgan.
She starts to say something, but I'm already talking. "The impulsiveness is bad today man."
"Yeah I can tell. Also, that's Ron's spot," she replies calmly as Ron comes and stands in front of me with two plates. He hands one down to Morgan, and waits for me to stand. I stand up and make my way over to the other couch. I sit down next to Leandro. It's quiet while everyone eats their food. Eventually, random gang members come down while we're eating. Some of them are on their way to weekend classes or work.
Meatball walks into the room and takes a chair next to the window. "Who cooked? We never get food on Saturday mornings," He asks.
"Leandro and I."
Meatball nods his head and takes another bite. "So, I was thinking we could do some weapons training for the new girls today."
I glance at Morgan while Meatball looks over at Angelo. Morgan looks at me and grins. She grew up around a dad who was a firearms instructor and a brother who played with knives. I grin right back.
After breakfast, Morgan and Ron go to clean the kitchen while Angelo figures out who is going to weapons training.
"Leandro, you good to come?" He asks. Leandro nods. "Antonio?" Angelo looks at Antonio, who has been quietly sitting by the wall.
"Yeah I'll be there. I may be a bit late though, I've got something to do."
Angelo's eyebrows furrow. "Ok, come when you can. And make sure you make the meeting tonight." He thinks for a moment before turning towards the kitchen. "Ron! You're coming to weapons training!" He yells in his direction.
"Ok!" Ron yells back. He and Morgan walk back into the living room.
"So," Morgan says, "how are we doing training?"Author's note
