Ally pov
I woke up the next day before classes with a bunch of texts from Angelo. Next Tuesday, we are meeting together with the mafia to discuss about this gang and getting our money. I send a quick ok, and start getting ready for my classes. Morgan and I have an astrology class this morning, so I’m meeting her at the coffee shop by campus.
Morgan is waiting for me with her latte and my chai. She hands it over to me and we start walking to our class. There are only thirteen of us in this class, so we’re in one of the smaller classrooms in the old part of campus. After class, Morgan heads over to her English class and I head back to my dorm. I’m free for the day until math later in the afternoon.Later in the day, Morgan and I are sitting in her dorm while Abbi is in class. My phone starts to ring where it is sitting next to me. I look down at it and see Angleo’s name lighting up the screen.
“What’s up?” I answered it.
“I need you and Morgan to come to the house later tonight, you're getting inducted into the gang officially."
"We're getting what?" I ask. Without answering, Angelo hangs up.
"What's going on?" Morgan asks.
"Apparently we're getting inducted. I don't know, he hung up!"
"What do we wear to this? Am I dressing up or dressing actively?"
"I don't know!" I yelled. I picked up my phone and called Angelo back.
"What do we wear to this?" I ask.
"I don't have time right now. Call Leandro." He says. Then he hangs up. Again.
I called Leandro this time. "What do you want?"
"What do we wear to this?" I ask again.
Leandro thinks for a bit. It's quiet on the line for so long that I thought he hung up on me. "Semi formal." He says. Then he hangs up the phone.
"God damn it!" I yell. People kept hanging up on me.
"Well?" Morgan asks. She's standing in front of her closet now, digging through it.
"He said semi formal. But I don't know what to wear for that. I'm in college I don't have dressy clothes!"
"Well that's not helpful. I'm calling Angelo." She pulls her phone from her pocket. After a few seconds, Angelo picks up.
"What do we wear to this?" She asks him. He's going to hang up on her I thought. She nods for a second, and waits for him to answer. "Ok, thanks Angelo." Then she hangs up.
"Well?" I ask.
"He says just look fancy," she answers. She turns back to her closet. "Mom made me bring some dresses," she mutters. She digs through her clothes and pulls out a black dress. "This'll work." She tosses it onto her bed. She grabs a pair of black heels.
"I'm gonna go find something to wear. I'll meet you in the parking lot later," I said. I walked out of Morgan's room and down the hall to mine. I go to my closet and pull out a pencil skirt and long sleeve shirt to tuck into it.
Around six forty five, Morgan and I go down to the parking lot. Antonio was waiting for us in the lot. We climb in and drive over to the mafia house. Antonio and silent the whole ride there. When we get out, he leads us to a room in the basement. There are a ton of people sitting around a giant table. Meatball is at the head, Angelo to his right. The rest of the men from our first meeting deciding to keep us alive are around the head of the table as well. There are three open seats at the table. Antonio goes and sits in one across from Leandro.
Morgan and I stand in the doorway, waiting for some signal on what to do. Angelo stands up and walks over to a smaller table near the end of the bigger one. He gestures for us to join him. We walk over to where he is standing. He hands us both a knife.
"You're going to prick your trigger finger with these knives, then drop your blood on this picture of a saint. Then hold it over this plate, and I'm going to light it on fire. Then you're going to say an oath while it burns in your hand."
"We're going to hold it? While it's on fire?"
"Just until you say the oath. Then you can drop it onto the plate," Angelo confirms.
"Ok. Ok we can do that." I look over at Morgan. She glances at me and nods.
"Prick your fingers," Angelo says. I do as he says, cutting my left pointer finger. Morgan does the same. We hold our hands over a picture of a saint and let the blood drip. Then we pick up the pictures and wait for Angelo to set them on fire. He pulls out a small silver lighter, flicks it open and holds it to the corner of each of our saints. "Now, repeat after me. I will live and die by the Viverne," we repeat the sentence. "If I betray anyone of this organization, let me burn like this saint."
Morgan and I finish speaking and drop the burning pictures onto the plate. We shake our slightly burnt hands as the men around the table cheer.
Angelo grins at us. "They should have some ice for your hands at the bar. Grab some then come sit down. We'll watch before we go on your first official job."
Morgan and I turn and walk to the small bar set up along the far wall. When we get there, we wait a second for the bartender to come over. When he does, we realise that it's Ron. I wondered what he thought of what just happened.
"Can we get some ice?" Morgan asks. Ron nods and slides over a bowl full of crushed ice.
"So, how does it feel to be in the gang?" Ron asks.
"It's good I guess. My hands just hurt now. Are you part too?" I ask.
"Oh, no I'm related to Angelo, so I know everything, but I'm not part of it."
"I see." Morgan nods. She grabs her bowl and walks away. I look at her as she goes and sits next to Lenadro. I grab my bowl and nod goodbye to Ron. I end up between Antonio and some random guy. The guy next to me starts talking. I nod along for a while, but eventually feel myself zone out.Morgans pov
Ally is sitting across from me and Leandro, staring off into space. But, not space, Leandro. I look at him. He's looking down at his plate with his eyebrows furrowed. He keeps glancing up at Ally and back down at his food. The longer she states, the more furrowed his eyebrows get. I wonder what she's thinking.Ally pov
Choke me like you hate me but you love me lowkey want to date me when you "Fuck me!" I feel something cold hit my face. I look down at my plate and see an ice cube sitting on my plate. Next to me, I hear the guy still rambling about something. When I look up, Morgan is staring at me. She gestures with her head next to her to where I was staring, her eyes wide. I can practically hear her telling me to knock it off. I look over to where she's gesturing. Leandro is staring at his plate, red faced. Oh shit. I feel my eyes go wide. I stare down at my plate after that. I pick at my food until Angelo stands up.
"Ally, Morgan, Leandro, Angelo. Come with me." He says and then walks out. We all stand and follow. When we get to the hall Angelo turns. "Leandro, you're going on a drug deal. You're taking Ally with you."
"That's going to be an awkward car ride," Morgan whispers over to me.
"Yeah."
"Antonio and Morgan are going to be lookouts, and backup if you need. I'll be with them. We need to meet our suppliers in half an hour, get going. Morgan and Ally, go get changed." Angelo said. He started walking out the door. Morgan I head over to the room we've kind of taken over. Antonio follows Angelo.
The ride across town is an awkward, silent one. Leandro and I don't talk as we drive. Eventually, we pull into the parking lot of an old warehouse. Leandro looks over at me. "Don't call me Leandro. Just go with the flow." He tells me. Then he gets out of the car as another pulls up. I reached down to my boot and made sure I still had a knife. I step out of the car and go stand by Leandro. A man gets out of the other car and walks over to Leandro. Without exchanging any words, Leandro hands over a wad of cash, and the man opens the bed of his truck. Inside are bricks of what I suppose is coke. Leandro starts grabbing bricks and putting them into the trunk of the van we had driven here. We had just finished getting the last brick into our van when my phone started to ring. I looked down at the screen, Morgan's name glowing on it. I answered it quickly.
"You need to get out of there, like now. Cops are coming. You need to go. Now!" She said, then she hung up.
"We have to go." I said to Leandro, who is talking to the guy still. He nodded and walked over to the car. I climbed into my seat and Leandro quickly pulled out of the parking lot. He quickly pulls onto the street and serves through traffic.
This is it. I'm going to die tonight I think as he serves way to calmly around cars.Hey! Please vote on this chapter! It helps us get more views! Also, comment what you want to see next. More Ron? More Leandro?
