Morgan pov

Leandro leaves the room and Angelo lets out a sigh. "We're going to get her back, without her getting hurt. There'll be a team of men brought along with us, along with Ally and Morgan. At this point, our job isn't to take them out, it's to get Cady back." then he sits down and starts going over plans with MB. For the next hour or so, we sit and work on busting out the plan, until MB leaves, then the rest of us sitting in the meeting room stand and walk out. I start look for Ally. I check the living room first. The only people in there are the frat brother looking mafia men. They talk quietly as the council walks down the stairs. When I go into the kitchen, she's not there either.

I hop onto one of the counters and pull out my phone. There's a text from Ally saying she'd see me tomorrow, and that her and Leandro were going to hang out for a while. Yeah, hang out. I'm sure. I huff out a small sigh and hop off the counter. Antonio and Angelo stayed in the meeting room. I have no ride back to the dorms.

I walk out the door and stand there, not knowing where to go. I know that if I go back to the dorms, I'll just sit and think about Cady.

So I don't. I start walking down the sidewalk. I head to the side of town that Zeus's tavern is on. I snapped at Ron earlier and need to apologize. Hopefully he's not too mad. The bar isn't even open yet, but he said I could come over whenever. Hopefully that offer still stands. The breeze nips at my neck as I walk. I was stupid and didn't dress how I should have this morning. The light crewneck I'm wearing doesn't do much against the Rhode Island cold. Earlier in the school year the weather was nice, now it's chilled with the coming winter. I cross my arms in front of my chest and walk a little faster.

When I get to the bar, Ron's car is alone in the back lot. I head to the back door and pull out my key. The lock sticks for a second, then unhooks. I step into the warm building and look along the bar. Ron must be somewhere upstairs. I head to the back room and climb up the steps. My calves are burning as I walk up the stairs. I'm nervous, so all my muscles are locking up. I knock on his door and wait for Ron to answer.

"Morgan?" He asks when he opens the door.

"Hey." I say nervously.

"Come in. Where's Ally? How are things going? Your face is all red, did you walk here?" He bombards me with questions as he ushers me into the apartment. Before I can answer he takes hold of my hands. "Jesus you're freezing. Come on, let's make you something warm to drink. Did Angelo feed you at all?"

I shake my head. He heads to his kitchen and I follow behind him. My nerves haven't subsided, even though he seems to be fine. Ron starts digging through cabinets and pulling out cups and packets of hot chocolate. He starts boiling milk on the stove and then turns back to me. "So what brings you here?"

"I wanted to talk to you. About earlier. I'm really sorry I snapped at you. You didn't deserve that, and it was totally uncalled for. I think all of my emotions just came out at you. I'm sorry." I look down at my feet.

"Hey," He says softly. "it's ok. Really. You have a lot on your mind. Sometimes it just comes out at bad times. And that's ok, and not something I'm going to be mad about."

"Really?" I look up at his face. His blue eyes are sincere.

"Of course. I wouldn't lie to you, Morgan." He thinks for a moment, then, "Ally told me some stuff. About your past. No details or anything, just some explanation. I just," He thinks for a moment again. "Would you mind if I asked you some questions about what she told me? If not that's fine, I just want to hear this from your perspective."

"What exactly did she tell you?" There are things from my past that I came to Rhode Island to escape. Things Ron wasn't supposed to find out. Now if she told him about certain things, I'm going to have to have a conversation I'm not ready for.
